How to batch convert "aif" to "wav"

Hello everyone. I am having an "issue" that might be too easy to be true for many but for me looks like a tall mountain.... I sometimes have a sample folder in ".aif" format which only ableton (as far as i know) can open. So sometimes i want to use some of these samples on my ipa...

Dune 3 Vst3 Not showing up in Live ?

Hello everyone. So my issue is that i had an instance of Dune 3 as vst3 in a project and today i open it and realise that its "missing" even though it is installed Deep Scan does not make it show up. Clean Install does not make it show up. Only Vst +AU but no Vst3 even though i see that it...

Live 10 + Big Sur Scanning Plugins and "Incompatible" plugins

Hello there! Hope you are all doing fine and healthy. So yesternight i had the great idea to "upgrade" to Big Sur from Mojave. Now everytime i open Live 10 i get something that looks like a deep scan of plugins (or at least it takes as long) and get dozens of warnings like "This Progr...

Re: Ozone 9 Standalone Crashes a lot

Hi! I have the same problem with crashing Ableton, still didn't find any solution There is no solution. At least now they admit in a nutshell that 3rd party plugins are "your own responsibility and can cause issues" . Amazing solution. Well i can`t say i am upgrading to Ozn10 when it come...

Alternative to Collections-Colors for Organizing

Hey everyone. Hope everyone is healthy. Ok so i love the colors option cause it helps me organize but what i greatly miss and really don`t understand how this is never been added yet is instead of colors just have the freedom to create "Category Folders" in which we can then do whatever we...

Re: Live Vs Reaper Cpu difference-efficiency with 3rd party plugings?

Still no point, as each DAW will handle those plugins differently, as they allocate threads to cpu cores is different for each DAW, there is no hard and fast answer. 1 plugin may work efficiently in 1 DAW but not the other and the next plugin vice versa. Now we`re getting somewhere. Thanks for the ...

No point, all have their own pros and cons. Use what suits your workflow.

I am asking if you use the same 10 3rd party plugins in both daws if one will use less CPU .

I am not looking for a comparisson of the features and workflow of the Daws

Live Vs Reaper Cpu difference-efficiency with 3rd party plugings?

Hello everyone
Hope you are all healthy!

I was wondering if anyone has made a comparisson of which Daw is more Cpu efficient when using 3rd party plugins?

Is there a difference in CPU usage efficiency at all ?

Re: MacOS Big Sur and M1 (Apple Processor) support

No Native Instruments support for most or all of the Plugins Some VSTs seem to use A LOT of CPU (probably due to Rosetta). I maxed our the CPU with about 8 Airwindows VSTs - other VSTs though work fine The Speed Test that can be found in the forum was that with Live 10 I could use around 55 tracks w...

Re: MacOS Big Sur and M1 (Apple Processor) support

... Logic is super fast. I saw a benchmark on YouTube. It's ridiculous. 8O The guy also said the difference between Air and Pro is almost negligible. I would love to hear a real world , long term experience. I cannot imagine that there will be no difference cause by the lack of the fan in the Air m...

Re: A way to reliably keep Date log of “.als lastly opened”

Jesus how can i bee so stupid? Well, if you’re stupid so am I. My first thought was it’s the kind of thing often easiest done from a terminal shell, so I did a quick search and found the method I suggested. I’d simply forgotten about adding columns to the finder displays. As for Terminal methods, t...

Re: A way to reliably keep Date log of “.als lastly opened”

There are several ways to find when a file was last opened. If you open a finder window and right-click in the bar at the top of the list that says "title" etc. one of the options that appears is "date last opened". Activate that and it will add a new column to the finder header...

Re: MacOS Big Sur and M1 (Apple Processor) support

I can report good news: I'm running Live 10 on my brand new MacBook Air with the M1 and it runs flawlessly in Rosetta. A project that makes my intel machine take off just runs at 30% utilisation. Laptop stays cool to the touch too. This is looking like an amazing platform even without a real port t...

Re: A way to reliably keep Date log of “.als lastly opened”s

Is there not a way on mac to order by “modified date” not created date? I have my projects ordered this way so stuff I work on is always at the top but I’m windows. Hi there. Well,,,,, i wish it was so easy ... Yes you can let it show you “order , last opened-modified “ etc. My issue is that the Da...
