It may well be Apple's problem then, and I hear 10.5.3 is well on it's way but I've not seen any changes to Core Audio but who knows, Apple are usually very secretive about their releases but this one seems to be very open.

Nah ableton doesn't tell the key from what I can find and I've not been trained to know what key things are in so programs ftw!

You can set it so it's more/ less accurate at getting the bpm and key at the expense of time/ CPU but it's worth giving it a go I think. Although even on the lowest my MacBook's fan goes into takeoff mode so I'm scared to do more than like 2 albums at once before letting it cool down for 5 minutes ...

I've been having trouble with a DJ set I've been playing with, when I apply a gate and when it approaches 0db or equalises with the average volume of the track the whole application just crashes.

Any ideas why this is happening? Running on a normal MacBook without any major tweaks.

Sounds pretty awesome! And it's all ok on Live (both working with Live 6)? Sounds like it does everything we need it to do though and looks great which is a nice bonus :D thanks for the 3000 tip too apparently the 2000 had some mac problems - now to ebay!

However, as you can imagine it's pretty hefty to lug the huge PC around everywhere so I've upgraded to a MacBook in the hope to make things easier but it's just brought some problems ...

Hi, quite a noob like question but does Sampler come boxed or download only? My parents bought it as a gift for me (birthday/ Christmas) but are unsure if Sampler came with it (they did pay for it). So any enlightenment?
