Re: kontrol x1 encoders eratic behaviour, mapped to Live Devices
Anybody? I find it really hard to believe that I am the only one having problems with certain endless rotary encoders in Live. As I said before. The closest I can get to normal behaviour is by changing live's controller message type to "Relative (Bin Offset)" but then the Parameter jumps a...

Im having the same problem with my kotrol x1 rotary encoders and I have scoured the internet, NI forums, and Ableton forums and I cannot find a proper answer.

kontrol x1 encoders eratic behaviour, mapped to Live Devices
When I map any of the kontrol x1 (in midi mode of course) endless encoders to any Knob or slider in Live the control behaviour is less than satisfying. You have to crank the encoder over and over again only to have the onscreen knob inch along at tiny increments. The x1's control editor software is ...

Re: Output volume on a live set...it's too quiet!
Wait u never even listed any specs or what kind of soundcard you are using. For all we know u could be using the cheap built in 8/th inch interface that came stock in a pc machine or something. The sound card makes no difference when it comes to exported data. Besides; on his setup its also a const...

Re: Re-assigning mousewheel to zoom (yes, it works!)
I don't own max4live yet but is there anyone here that can say weather or not this kind of action would be possible to create using it? Scroll wheel zooming, that is.

Re: Famous people who use the Akai APC-20!
Personally, I'd like to see an even smaller addition to the range - presumably an APC10 - that can be used as a hand-sized mini-controller alongside Akai's LPK25 mini-keyboard controller in situations where portability and a small footprint are essential. It would have to run off USB bus power thou...

Re: Famous people who use the Akai APC-20!
(not that I actually LIKE to mix and match controllers. I just have for years because no single controller seems to ever suit my exact setup needs) Seriously; in this context a controller is just as good as the software supporting it. If you don't like the way it behaves there are ways to customize...

Re: Famous people who use the Akai APC-20!
I actually am not a fan of endless encoders for live use and the apc40 is too big for me to bring out to the typical live show so I had retired it to the studio and was considering buying a launchpad to use alongside some other controller with non-endless knobs (pots) so actually I am thinking that ...

Now This is what Im talking about
http://www.akaipro.com/apc20
Not that thats a bank of knobs but If I DO find the magical bank of non-endless knobs that vertically line up with the slider on this thing then Ill be a happy man.

Re: COntroller of JUST Bank of Knobs (pots)?
Just curious, why do you need non-endless knobs? If it were up to me, I would only have endless rotaries with leds like the BCR or APC40. In essence they are endless in that the light rings start and end where the knobs would have started and ended. Just wondering because I hate pots that aren't en...
