Has anybody figured out a (preferably non-MAx4live) workaround for this problem?
I own max4live but am trying to keep my livesets as cpu light as possible and the Pan Knob Bank resetting every time I switch to any send bank is beyond frustrating.

Re: Merging multiple libraries
I am wondering the same thing. Any ideas on how to do this without having to go thru literally Every Single Folder and subfolder in both machine's libraries just to make sure that the files match? I currently have three different machines with their own live libraries on each and i'd like to easily ...

Re: How to find if installed app is 64bit? Mac OSX
EDIT: I jumped the gun on this post. Just read that live is still a 32 bit app. I could've sworn that the latest version of live was supposed to be 64bit but my memory is funky. I just noticed that in my activity monitor live 8.2.7 does not have 64bit listed under the 'Kind' column. If im on Lion ru...

Re: Sample buffering issues...
I seem to be having the same problem and its extremely annoying. I have a live set filled with mostly mp3's (about 44 altogether). And every time I re open the live set it go's through and has to re buffer certain ones. Not ALL of them. Just certain ones. The same ones every time too. From looking a...

Re: Ableton to Serato: The Bridge
The big question is: "What holes does the audio come out of?" a) Only Serato interfaces b) Any audio interface There's been no answer to this one as of yet. On the Ableton panel inside of serato below the ableton Master track is a little set of routing buttons. L, R, and Mute. L and R cho...

Re: kontrol x1 encoders eratic behaviour, mapped to Live Devices
That dosn't answer the question or issue here. That is just standard midi preferences setup in Live. What were talking about is how 'Exactly' to Edit these X1 endless encoders to make them behave properly. Properly meaning, not jumping all over the place, or having to crank the knob just to have the...

Re: kontrol x1 encoders eratic behaviour, mapped to Live Devices
well it might be a bit more complex than you think then ,it might a problem with the value but it's must be in the softwre taht communicate between your x-control and ableton,i think it's written in file.xml like a TSI but you need to check with your midi controller support team. Thanks for the rep...

Re: kontrol x1 encoders eratic behaviour, mapped to Live Devices
I have a similar issue, audiovoid. Ever find a solution? Nope Still Havn't figured it out. will definitely post when / If I do though. Ah ha! Finally figured it out. You have to enable MIDI remote control for the Kontrol X1. Live -> Prefs -> MIDI Sync -> MIDI Ports -> Input: Traktor Kontrol X1 -> R...

Re: Realtime MIDI smoothing/14 bit MIDI. Is it possible?
Some manufacturers call it "Hi- res" midi, but it will be in the tech specs. The new traktor controllers have 14bit faders on them, BCR has 14bit knobs (or "normal" midi if you want), I think the Nocturne sends out 14bit, not sure about the UC33, doubt it. You'll notice it more ...

Re: Realtime MIDI smoothing/14 bit MIDI. Is it possible?
I have the VCM 600 as well, and the exact same problem. There isn't a way of outputting 14 bit midi on the VCM600 which is awful considering how awesome the faders are. The only reason I can see why Vestax would ruin the faders by allowing only 127 steps is because of cost cutting? Maybe the pickup...

Re: Realtime MIDI smoothing/14 bit MIDI. Is it possible?
Finally I found a similar related topic to my problem. This stepping (zipper-like) sound is coming from the controls on my vestax vcm 600 and I am flaberghasted. My 60 dollar x-session pro puts out perfectly smooth midi. I posted a whole thread on it with audio examples here: http://forum.ableton.co...

VCM600 Contrls LOW RES (STEPPY,Very UnSmooth) AUDIO EXAMPLES
AM I the only one that has noticed this? Every knob and fader on the unit causes this steppy - Zipper sound when assigned to 'Anything' in Live. It's ecspecially noticable with a filter sweep or eq sweep effect but it's also heard on the regular Volume faders. I have tried switching usb cables, plug...

Re: VCM 600 w/ Launchpad via Midipipe
Sorry to post twice (i asked this on your blog as well) but i had one more question. Using this Midipipe-Channel re-router workaround (As well as loosing Led feedback) causes u to loose all native control on the vcm600 right? In other words now u have to literally map every single control by hand? o...

I have it this way so (if I want to) i can control a synth sequence on the Kawaii, triggered from a Live midi clip. But yea, I'll try unplugging the m...

SLuggish controls when mapped to Kawaii k5000 synth
This is a strange one. I have an old kawaii k5000 synth that I am using as a midi controller keyboard in Live and I notice that when I midi map and control a parameter (say, a Filter's Cutoff) with any of it's hardware knobs I get extremely sluggish behaviour. Not only does the onscreen knob jump sl...
