Deleted plugins still show on Browser! My OCD on full BLAST!
That's right, no matter what I do they still show. I've manually deleted the component and vst files from their locations and nothing, they still show. I have uninstalled them with their respective uninstall software (when applicable)... nothing. I tried resetting LIVE, that did't work. I did everyt...

insert audio effect in exact location (not at end of chain)
say you have 7 effects in your insert chain, then you select the third one, then select an effect from browser and press "ENTER". It ALWAYS goes to the end of the chain. is there a way for it to drop it right after the selected effect? (without manually dragging it there)

vocal recording seems to be phase shifted. Is this Normal?
the distribution of the waveform seems to be highly shifted to the "upper side". Running a Sure SM7b into a UAD apollo interface. Tracking with a 1073 preamp plugin followed by an 1176 plugin, an LA-2A plugin and a Pultec Eq plugin. I tried switching the polarity when tracking and the wave...

Re: The Inspiration Myth
what i just started doing, is going back to my old unfinished projects. I've saved them all, i have like 100 of them. The actual sounds are usually garbage, of poor quality, but the midi parts, composition and interplay of the melodic elements is quite good. A lot of great ideas! I mostly replace al...

Re: The Inspiration Myth
i guess i have a "hybrid" theory on this..... Put in the time, YES, as much as you can. Always work on something, always learn something. Follow your curiosity to the End, learn how to "get that sound". Truth is, inspiration can strike, yes it can, and it can be really good, but ...

Re: Find the right bass for the music only with monitors
You will be able to work on bass with those speakers. It shows that the frequency response goes down to 45 HZ so you're good. The thing about bass is that your studio needs to be acoustically treated correctly in order to make good decisions when mixing. The best advice i can give you is make sure y...

Re: Recording the cue out in stereo ?
This should help, taken from an old ableton post If you are on a mac, you can use soundflower http://code.google.com/p/soundflower/ and create an aggregated audio device, containing both your current interface and soundflower. 1 - send your cue to soundflower 1/2 2 - create an audio track with input...

Re: Changing drum loops...?
first click anywhere in the midi editor (where the notes are). Then type (control + a) to select all notes. Then hit "Delete". This is on a Mac, PC i'm not too sure about but it should be similar.

get a quad core. One with a quad cpu in the 2's will go much further than a dual core in the 3's.
