Re: 8 MACROS needed (to control 8 everywhere macros)
I'm not a coder so would be nice to hear from someone the desire to build that device. I spoke about Max 6 thinking about to use new Max possibilities like Multimap but with 8 knobs instead of one. The device should be Push friendly with mapped names on display. neither was I, and I've been working...

ASAIK there should have been some devices from 8 up to 32 knobs.

Re: "xcoll: can't write file" error
it to easy to be true. Problem is solved: Windows 7 Home Premium is setting strange restrictions on user profiles and software. The solution is to run the Live with in administration mode (which is not that obvious if You're back to the Windows after 6 years of working in OSX environment, and your p...

"xcoll: can't write file" error
Windows 7 Max 6.1 AL 9.0.4 I'm currently working on patch that needs to write/save external data. I've decided to use coll for that - easy to implement in patch, quite fast, and most of all - the saved data files easy to edit with standard textedit/notepad. Everything was fine as long, as I was work...

Re: 150% CPU Load
bump and pin to the subject. Most of things You write guys is imho missing the point, and I'll try to explain the opinion. I'm working with native ableton devices only, and mostly generating instead of sampling. As a complete freak in this field I've used to build complex effect chains and automatio...

Re: Full parameter control device for fix mapped midi controller
Again, JS - I've checked Your solution, just to remind what kind of trouble it causes. Although it's probably lighter for CPU, still it might nod work properly with extremal values (minimum and maximum) when rescaling the MIDI mess to actual parameter's range. At this point it seems that live.remote...

Re: Full parameter control device for fix mapped midi controller
Thanks JS, I was thinking of that, since project day one, but found it used by ableton team. I'll check yet if live.remote works fine. In the meantime I've managed to build a mechanism allowing to tweak the parameters by controller as well as traditionally with mouse/computer keyboard. The thing loo...

Re: Full parameter control device for fix mapped midi controller
Time for questions:
1. Any ideas on how to toggle (enable/disable) the live.remote~ ?
I've temporarily set a trigger changing the ID to 0, but it doesn't look good.

Re: Cache folder full of lives own samples?????
as far as I remember, Live decodes any files to uncompressed formats, i.e. if there are m4a, mp3, ogg and anything else compressed, it will be in the cache. Also - and this is only a divagation - Live may encode also uncompressed formats, as it works with sound in 32 bits natively. More infos on tha...

Re: Full parameter control device for fix mapped midi controller
After a little investigation I found that it is much easier to build a control mapping device w/ a "path live_set appointed_device" query, however, the patch misbehaves a bit. Everything seems working fine when the patch is opened for edition, and as soon as I get it saved/frozen/closed - ...

Re: Multitrack Spectrum Analyzer
What I mean is that it would be nice to have at least two different scale resolutions. Now You've got one with highlighted four freqs: 10, 100, 1000 and 10000 Hz If You add another resolutions with lines for the key freqs inbetween them, like: + 10, 50, 100, 500, 1000, 5000, 10000, 15000 + each ten ...
