Re: Easier to see grid lines

I just wrote to support about this and they offered to use a different theme but does not change the visibility of pale grid lines. I tried all themes with different settings.
A setting for grid line sharpness/contrast would be great.

Re: Preference: Put track names ON THE LEFT.

Maybe it did not make so much difference when the 17 monitors were common with low resolution and little space. But with today's wide screens (and if you are not used to it) it really is hard. You have a 4 bar loop of tracks on the left of the screen and have to pass all the empty arrange space all ...

Re: Freeze/Flatten reduced quality?

This has nothing to do with quality. Your original wave fiile visual does not reflect the inserted effects. No matter what you insert to the chain you always see the raw waveform as you recorded or dragged to the project. After you freeze and flatten, you see the effects applied to the waveform perm...

If piano roll is important you are looking at the weakest two.

Re: Alternative to ableton,

I bought a M-audio keyboard for the kids at Xmas, not knowing it needed ableton to make it work. I've dowloaded ableton, and for the past 6 weeks I've been trying to figure out what I'm supposed to do with it. 6 weeks on and I still haven't heard the keyboard make a sound, I've tried watching tutor...

So to resize clips (in arrangement view) just select all the clips you wish to resize and drag You can do mass bounce to, in the export option in the drop down choose al...

Re: Punch in / punch out - without loop?

Would be great if Live behaved like some other is this department. For example when I use Studio One I don't use Punch i/o at all cause the clip is only created for the actual area I have played. And does not join or delete previous or next clip if I don't play in that area. What I mean is, If I hit...

Re: Assign Track Names to Clips

If I understand right what he means is an option to change clip names automatically when you change the track name. L?ke after you write the name shift+enter to apply it to all clips kind of thing.

Protools has this now called as time based (Like Live) or object based selection (Like the rest) Something similar could be done with Live

Re: FX processing on clip level (instead of track level)

DAWs that do this Studio One Logic Traktion Pro Tools (to audio file) Cubase (to audio file) it's more a matter of Ableton keeping up at this point Studio One, Logic, Pro Tools and Cubase don't have "Clip Layer Effects". It is not the same thing as "bounce in place", etc. In Studio one you can have...
