Re: Post your set up and your sexy cat...
For more static lo-fi drum samples, the MPC. For anything with a newer, crisper flavor, the Machinedrum. I like having the option of "old" sound and "new" sound. A great pair. The only issue on my 60 is that I haven't upgraded the OS to 3.10 yet, and I don't want to unlearn a mac...

Re: Post your set up and your sexy cat...
@silverfish , how does your 60 hold on that stand? Does it wobble when you are banging out beats? It wobbles a bit, but not enough to cause any issues or for me to worry about it tipping over. I worry more about the impact from my cat jumping up on it than her knocking it over. When I add a second ...

Re: Post your set up and your sexy cat...
Kawai K1m and Alesis HR16. Both ready for circuit bending when I find time/money. I'm not big on heavy cosmetic modifications, so I think I'm going to use DB25 ports and an external patch bay. That'll give me the option of hooking up either device. I just got the Kawai K1m, and I have to say that i...

For the first time in my life I feel like I can proudly share images of my working space. Lots of work to be done yet, but this is damn near the room I've always dreamed of. https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-b5CeuE0iVtk/UMPKv0V-4pI/AAAAAAAAGxs/iiZLQjNNpqc/s795/IMG_6010.JPG https://lh6.googleusercon...

Re: Live 7 Legacy Pack ?
I was going to post about how I had just run across it while exploring the new site, but when I went to get the link, I could no longer find it. It does appear to be MIA. I'm sure if you email support they'll let you know what's up.

Re: Racked VSTs for easy midi mapping, "getting" values from VST
NI Kore would have done this, if NI hadn't killed it recently.
I do wish Ableton would adopt some of the Kore features in the next update, assuming one ever comes.

Re: Griffin Powermate
I just tried this with the 64bit Beta of Live 8 and it's working well! Instead of assigning the mouse scroll, assign an up and down keystroke, respectively. Then when you click on a knob, you can use the Power Mate to set the value! The only hang-up I've found is that some parameters have such fine ...

Re: FXpansion ETCH: VST Plugin only $20
I was asking over on Gearslutz how this would compare to having an Electrix Filter Factory. Anyone around these parts have opinions?
For $20, I don't you can go wrong, though.

Re: Simple VJing programme to work with ableton (PC)
Look into opentzt. It's absolutely ancient at this point, but it's free and runs on a very modest pc. Resolume v2 is my not-free vote. Dunno if you can still get a license, though.

Re: Kore 2 MIDI control- Little Blue hand not working in 8.2
Yeah, I don't get it. Mackie Mode through the Kore 2 controller works great, but using the Ableton template from NI with the Kore 2 controller is worthless. Midi is coming in, but Ableton isn't doing anything with it. I contacted Ableton about this some time ago, and they said it must be a Kore thin...

Re: Kore 2 MIDI control- Little Blue hand not working in 8.2
I'm on a Mac, so the remote script file goes in the remote script folder, located inside the app folder. I can't remember where it goes on a windows machine. I'll have a play with it again tonight and see if I can get it up and running. I'm not holding my breath.

Re: Kore 2 MIDI control- Little Blue hand not working in 8.2
I never did get Kore 2 working as a control surface in 8. It works fine in 7, but never in 8.
Make sure you put the remote script files in the proper folder, otherwise Kore 2 won't show up as an available control surface (working or otherwise).
