Re: Assign pads to specific drums using DKFH and trigger finger.

You can program the trigger finger to send specific mid notes, if you program it to correspond with the midi notes that trigger your DKFH kit, when you hit a pad it'll hit the drum. BOOM! Awesome thanks for your response. I never use midi controllers I usually just click away at the grid. But I wan...

Assign pads to specific drums using DKFH and trigger finger.

I've been using DKFH "drum kit from hell" for a while now to track drums for a metal project. But I've been using a mouse and it's getting a bit boooring... :( I saw this guy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LeyFNs3kkZk and I noticed he has specific drums mapped out to the trigger finger. An...

Re: Broken tweeter on Alesis M1 Active Mk2 speaker.

http://www.fullcompass.com/product/278982.html appears to be the replacement tweeter. Alesis is really weird about replacement parts. I tried to get them to send me a knob/PCB for a Micron a while back, and they were out of stock while they were apparently moving their storage factory to a new loca...

Broken tweeter on Alesis M1 Active Mk2 speaker.

I contacted cust service for Alesis and they basically told me your shit out of luck since it's past the warranty. They advised I find a "third party repair technician." Not sure where to go from here, I'm pretty low on funds and I can afford the replacement tweeter part but I'm not very g...

Re: Advanced Piano roll , sequencing features.

Live's piano roll and "step sequencer" are very very ... rudimentary. you dont have tools like in other Daws, you just have the very basic features, add note, delete note, enlarge note asnd duplicate note. How about having cool stuff like sugar bytes Thesys, or FLstudio piano roll, wich h...

Re: Juno synth in Röyksopp - Vision One.

This sound is possible with just using live devices. I made this quick demo (I use the Tal Uno62 but you will notice that the sound of the synth itself isn't that important). First bars are just the Uno62, then I turn my Audio Effect rack on (Phaser - Saturator (WS) - Saturator (Hard Curve) - EQ8)....

Re: Juno synth in Röyksopp - Vision One.

Yeah I've been trying to figure out how they get the crackle in there and how the texture seems to follow the underlying bass. I think they are slowly modulating a deep saw with resonance, but I'm not quite sure. I can get close with trilian but it's not quite there. They do the same thing in "...

Juno synth in Röyksopp - Vision One.

Usually don't like this kind of stuff but the bassline really stood out.

Any one know of a Juno synth vst? Wanna get some grindy bassline like that one.

Re: How best to organize and save sessions?

save the set into a new project folder, and then manage that new project. you can pull all the samples in there at that point. you have a choice of pulling in library samples or not. e.g. if you used the EIC grand piano, you might not want to copy those several gigabytes of samples into your projec...

How best to organize and save sessions?

I've returned to working with samples after a few years where I just used mostly live instrumentation. I'm noticing I'm incredibly disorganize and have failed to save my sessions properly. Is there a way I can consolidate all the samples associated with the song into one file so that I can just open...

What case are you making?

His early stuff = mindblowing
His recent stuff = I kinda wish he would quit
I concur the last album was horrific. Everything before it was sublime.

can you not just sample them off youtube/the game if its just for a website??? Yeah I don't need the exact sounds I'm wondering how they where created. I've been commissioned to create the sound scapes for a flash website. They specifically requested that the sounds for the menus be "like the ...
