MIDI Looper
Hey guys, currently I'm running Live 10 Suite and Push 2 just in case there's something I've missed. I love the functionality of Looper, say you're jamming with a good groove on a synth and capture it with a foot controller, Looper then sets the tempo and the loop plays back. Pretty simple, straight...

Re: No Printed Manual in Live 10 boxed version
+1 Printed Manual - was just in store at Ableton and no v10 printed reference manual, what! - nudge me, when in store.

Re: Hardware synths vs sofware synhs
Personally, the debate comes down to programmability, that is how accessible are the parameters and what parameters are on offer with the synthesizer. Interfacing with sound is twofold, in that sculpting sound in the first instance, creation and secondly but no less important the performance of that...

The recreated patch magically always sounds better than you remember. Surely you're being sarcastic. The only means of retaining that magic is to turn the units off. Firing them up the next day sounds exactly as they were. Cue sheets nor digital image recreations sound the same. Print it or leave it.

Re: ILok
Interesting you ask this on Ableton forums, anyways, you need both, Pro Tools 10 authorization and an iLok USB Smart Key. The Pro Tools 10 authorization is then transferred to your iLok account and downloaded to your iLok USB Smart Key which in turn authorizes Pro Tools.

8.4b9 10 hours to analyse 2 hour audio file
44.1/24 .wav file 2 hours duration took 10 hours to analyse in the Browser that rendered Ableton Live unusable (Non-responsive).

Re: analogue synth purchase help!
^ the question is, do you want to be tied down to the workflow necessary for this kind of kit? Part of me quite likes the idea of being forced to commit to audio early on. Make something you like, record it, and move on. But the convenience of being able to recall presets on vsts and more "adv...

Re: analogue synth purchase help!
So for me personally, I wouldn't make the most of these pure analogue boxes. Anyone considering one needs to think about how they'd actually use it day to day. Devices with an analogue signal path coupled with digital control are a superior beast these days. Patch recall, correct pitch tracking, LF...

Re: analogue synth purchase help!
how many tracks can you sequence? i know it says 4 analog tracks...but do you get say more midi tracks to sequence external gear with? No external MIDI sequencing but offers 6 independent sequencing tracks (4 x synth tracks, 1 x FX track and 1 x CV/Gate track). Couple Analog Four with an Octatrack ...

Re: analogue synth purchase help!
Right now I would pick the new analogfour by elektron, their gear is always ace and you get analog sound with up to day features. its not polyphonic from what i have read. obviously its not out yet either. so difficult to judge. Elektron Analog Four isn't polyphonic at launch but is most likely goi...

Re: Recording with M-Audio Venom
The first part of this video should help with basic setup. What the video doesn't explain is using Venom as an Ableton audio playback device and thus enabling Venom's audio to be recorded via USB. This functionality is only present when using Venom as an audio interface. The original poster is afte...

You got it for a steal. The RP-Delay adds great depth and width at minimal echo. Features for Africa too. No brainer. RP-Verb is next on my software list.Sibanger wrote:Got it for $10.....with a free distortion. Great buy!! Lots of fun.
