Re: want to set master volume 0 with key commands or MIDI
Guessing that as that was just a switch, I need to assign a controller with a value? Now, actually, I don't want a physical controller assigned, I want to be able to launch a MIDI clip in session view that sets the volume to default. Not sure how to get there. Thanks for the help. Really appreciated...

Re: want to set master volume 0 with key commands or MIDI
Oh, hang on - it's coming back a bit
I hit one of my FCB1010 (foot MIDI controller) and it appears in the browser as Track Volume
How do I set the value?

Re: want to set master volume 0 with key commands or MIDI

I click on the master volume box (set to 6.0 now) and the box is highlighted I play a few MIDI notes but they aren't assigned - nothing changes in the browser. Now what!? want to set master volume 0 with key commands or MIDI

Or, I see that I can map a qwerty key but that alternates between -inf and +6.0 I have Bome MIDI translator so I can send key commands to Live - Can ...

BANK CHANGE seemingly ignored
Hi,
I'm trying to send a bank change to a Helix pedal but the MIDI out seems to just be 000
Is there a trick?
Tks in anticipation!

Possible to use mixer crossfader to "preview-record" a clip?
I'm not a brilliant keyboardist and often make mistakes in takes. I'd like to be able to record session view clips and set them playing then, (possibly using the crossfader?) be able to record another clip without the audience hearing it, just me in my phones. When I get it right I'd like to be able...

Re: nanoKontrol2 - tracks page L/R possible?
Answering myself: If I have the nK2 talking to Live on my Macbook, the track < > buttons shift the focus 8 tracks at a time as i would have expected and wanted. :) It's only when I have the nK2 plugged into my iMac (which already has a Mackie and Mackie XT) that live ignores the buttons ( I guess it...

nanoKontrol2 - tracks page L/R possible?
Loaded the nK2 up in Live DAW mode - how do I assign the 8 sets of track controls (S,M,R,fade, pan) to a particular "page" of tracks if there are more than 8 tracks in a set? (On my Mackie Control there are dedicated fader bank < > buttons that allow hardware control of 8 tracks at a time- ...

Re: 2 keyboards, 1 sustain pedal?
Change the midi channel on one of your controllers and then designate specific midi channels on on Live's channel input. Or even designate specific controller inputs (that probably wouldn't require channel changing) Thanks - I'll go try that. But how do I split out the sustain messages from the RD ...

2 keyboards, 1 sustain pedal?
I'm struggling to get my head round this: I have a Roland RD700 I'm using as a stage piano and controller for Live instruments. It has the sustain pedal. I also have a little Korg Micro X (couple of octaves) that I use for LH pad and bass sounds. If I midi out from the RD to the Korg I can use the s...

Re: Keeping a backup Live HDD?
OK- I got SuperDuper and backed up my "production" Glyph ext HDD (this has Live sets, packs, Omnisphere Libraries etc) to a LACIE. To test it works I ejected the Glyph and mounted the LACIE. I had to tell Live where its libraries were now, also Omnisphere needed pointing to the LACIE but t...
