When i search a plugin, why does it show only top folder?

Hi folks, When i search for a particular plugin, why does Ableton show me the top location, but not the actual location? Check the image below. I've searched for MRecorder. Ableton only shows me the top level location, and if i unfold the tree i'll see this: V VST ______ V MELDA _______________ V To...

Collections annoyance - suggestions?

Hi folks, Perhaps i'm not using it right or there's an easy workaround, but......: Imagine i type in a plugin name in the top left search box to find a plugin. A couple of minutes later i want a plugin from a collection. I click on the collection but i don't see the plugin because the name is still ...

Re: in arrangement view i want my track info on left

Track info should be on the left.

For the simple reason that that's where your mouse is most of the time when editing racks or whatever.

So the trip is further with your mouse or pen tablet to the right than it is to go up.

Re: Sustain device blocks modulation and pitchbend?

Actually, I was wrong, I confused midiselect with midiparse, you would have to actually add a midiparse. Anyways, I made an edit: https://www.dropbox.com/s/njri3zi1knb3ef1/Sustain%2001%20%28EDIT%29.amxd?dl=0 Many many thanks, may the fleas of a thousand camels infest your enemies loins!

Re: Sustain device blocks modulation and pitchbend?

You are only sending notes to midiformat, so you are blocking everything else. You got to connect the outputs of midiselect (except the last "raw" one) back into midiformat. Thanks for the info! I didn't create the device, i downloaded it from somewhere a few years ago (i don't remember w...

Sustain device blocks modulation and pitchbend?

Hi folks, I'm using the M4L device linked below to trick my Behringer Poly D synth to respond to held pedal sustain. It works, but the problem is it (the device) blocks modulation and pitchbend messages. Anyone have any idea why this is or if it's fixable? Thanks! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1zj...

Re: Ableton as platform for custom remote project?

Thanks man! So the idea is that this remote would be used in conjunction with an analog mixing console. So it only really needs to the most basic of functions: Track record arms Switchable record or monitor path listen. Transport controls Track metering (record & monitoring). A few memory locati...

Ableton as platform for custom remote project?

Hi folks, We have a little project we're mulling over here. Basically what we want to do is build something that looks like vintage multitrack remote. Here's a couple of pictures below by way of explanation. Of course there's a million DAW remotes available, but they're all cheap-feeling plastic jun...

It seems that this M4L device is made to workaround this.
Thanks!

Hmmmmm, i'm not sure, i don't see anything in the blurb that says it let's you move the brackets with a midi knob, seems more like a tool for live performance loopers, right?

Re: Controlling the Loop Brace via Midi

It's absolutely ridiculous that you can't map a midi controller to either the playhead or the loop bracket positions in Live.

Those loop brackets are really small and fiddly to grab with the mouse, why can't with just move them with a CC message?

Sampler: assign many samples, each to single key?

Hi folks, Imagine this: I have a collection of 70 chord samples. I want to quickly and easily assign each sample to one (and one only) key in a sampler. So for example: hammond_stab.wav............... to C3 JB_horns.wav..................to C#3 rhodes_chord.wav.........to D3 etc etc. Is there any eas...

Possible to "embed" pedal sustain in note on / off info?

Hi folks, I've got a synth (Behringer Poly D) that doesn't seems to react to pedal sustain messages. Nor does it have a pedal sustain input. Which go me a-thinking: Normally sustain is a separate message, right? But in fact you could simply include it in the note on / off note messages, couldn't you...

Re: Small paid job

You can always send the notes to receivers hosted in several tracks with different midi channels. What’s eating midi on the eurorack side ? That would be fine, i don't mind jumping through a few hoops! On the Eurorack side i have a couple of Intellijel midi interfaces, plus a couple of other standa...
