Me and a friend want to sync to laptops together to get a live set goin.

Wat hardware is required? We are using 2 windows laptops rather than mac.

We have soundcards and stuff, wanna just know wat we exactly need as we dont have a clue

Also, anytime i put a track onto my laptop from desktop the track length always goes up to 12 minutes or more even tho the track is like 8 minutes, anyone know why this is? So its just leaves a blank grey background after the waves.

I was using ableton with a mate a while back and he was recording loops from reason on the redrum into ableton and hitting stop after the 3rd bar therefore it recorded it as a full bar.

Just a query about live, do you ever use it with turntables as well? How do you get the beats from the record to sync with the beats on the laptop? Wen you press play on ableton?

We have a djm800 and apparently ya can do this as the mixer midi clocks the beats, we will be using serato ...

I use ableton on a desktop, tho have just acquired a laptop, tho wen i use the mp3's that i used on my desktop they were no problem, but on the laptop i get the message

"Could Not Decode The File Using The Available Codecs"
