same problem here. 8.2.2 creates full freezing, the audio is playing but nothing on the computer works, functions, keyboard, controls. The only way to end this is to hardboot. I have MBpro with Pro40 or FA101.
i think it is definitely a problem with osx10.5.8 and Live 8.2.2. also with the firewire ...
