Re: NanoKontrol 2 MIDI Remote Script: "APC Emulation"
Hi all, I'm trying this in 9.7 and no joy. I downloaded the 9.1 folder and imported it into "midi resources" in Live 9 and renamed it as per instructions. I then changed all the numbers in the Kontrol Editor, although I don't know why the scene data file can't be included in the folder, bu...

Re: Does anybody own the Retro Computers pack by Puremagnetik?
I bought it the other day as part of the 30% off Packs deal and for €27 it's brilliant. The free Commodore 64 pack mentioned above is nice, but the sounds are very repetitive unlike the Puremagetik pack which has sound effects from Bomber and Defender (remember those lazer blasts?) as well as the &q...

Re: APC 40 FAQs, features and questions
Hi Everyone, I just want to chip in here and tell you about Stray's apC-CL1 template with Midi Bomes MT Player. It's less than €20 and it's brilliant. There are other templates like the CL3 where you can play chords chromatically if you want - like Push - but they're extra. I got my APC40 2nd hand f...

Re: Who is using the AKAI MPD32 as a Drum Rack control surface?
Hi KB240 and Nick the Zombie, You guys seem to know a lot about the MPD 32 and how to program it, but I haven't a clue who to assign the knob controllers to pan tracks. Neither can I work out how to programme the "bank" buttons to shift the drum pads up the drum "scale" if you ge...

Re: How to get the Akai MPD 32 knobs to control pan?
Thanks yur2die4, I never expected such a quick reply. Yes I have "remote" turned on in preferences and I did try midi map before, but I was hoping to be able to edit those knobs with the Vyzex editor. I mean, what if there are say, 24 tracks you want to pan, what then? Also, how can you ch...

How to get the Akai MPD 32 knobs to control pan?
Hi Everyone, I feel like a right spanner right now, I just bought the Akai MPD 32 and tried it out with Ableton's drum racks and it's great. But when it comes to mixing I've hit a dead end. I've spent hours trawling through the manuals and youtube tutorials, but found nothing on how to edit this thi...

Re: Automap 4 with Novation Impulse and Ableton Live
I had the exact same problem with my impulse and Live 8 and 9. It works to an extent, but without the Automap GUI, I'm bringing it back. I was looking forward to being able to assign controls etc with the software window, because the Impulse's way of doing this is counter productive. I mean having t...

Re: New look Ableton website.
The new website is terrible. All these straight lines and I couldn't find 1) Community 2) News of when Ableton 9 would be released - had to go elsewhere for that 3) Instead of getting a list of what's new in Live 9, I get a shit youtube video with no info, just some dude messing around with his gear...

Re: Ableton! Will Live 9 be released before year 2015?
I think it will be June or July when Ableton 9 comes out. A bit like 2009 and I would assume it would have 64 bit support, dual monitor configuration and an improved GUI and lots of new features as well as upgraded ones. Perhaps a more transparent EQ and better reverb? It will be interesting to see ...

Re: Yamaha HS80m vs. Krk Equivalent Monitors ?
I have the Yamaha hs80s and they are amazing. The KRK Rokit rp6g2's are great little monitors too, but lack the richness and depth of the Yamahas. Also, the soundstage and detail on the Yamahas are more impressive than the Rokit 6's. However, it's a very subjective matter and it's up to your to list...

+1
Ableton is a great DAW for creating music and it would be a shame if 9 wasn't 64 bit. If it wasn't I would have to say goodbye and move to pastures new.

No problem. I never used Record/Reason. I would love to get my hands on it (or any 64 bit DAW). Getting a bit tired freezing and flattening my tracks from East West sample libraries.

The axiom pro can now play drums in Impulse.
Hi all, I upgraded to a 64 bit Windows 7 OS and I downloaded the latest Axiom Pro 64 bit driver from M-Audio. When I plugged my axiom pro 49 into my 64 bit system for the first time, a new firmware update was automatically installed and now I can play drums with Impulse. Yay! Thanks whoever is respo...

Re: Axiom pro hypercontrol
I don't know anything about the axiom second generation. But hypercontrol is a handy little bit of firmware. For instance I can toggle between session and arrangement view, go up and down the session view and select individual clips, and I can load audio or midi tracks with the touch of one of the n...

Re: m-audio products and live do not play well together
The axiom pro can be a fiddly little thing all right, but after a while you get used to it. I remember having a few crashes with my axiom pro, but it was when I was trying to do a lot of things at the same time - like loading a track and midi editing at the same time. I know that shouldn't be an iss...
