Camel Phat

We've just used this on our latest release. http://www.camelaudio.com/camelphat.php Transformed the kick drum. Also great for adding harmonics + mild distortion to vocal + sax + instrumentation. when used correctly it can be the difference between a normal mix and "that sound" I belive it'...

Are you using an Intel or AMD dual core processor ?

There are CPU updates for AMD dual cores that are 2 years newer than the one supplied via Microsoft update.

M-Audio are find for keyboards + possibly controllers.

I wouldn't go near their sound cards though.

I tested a 1010 last year, had to go much further upmarket quick as it was really weak in the Bass.

They are quite cheap in a way so I suppose you get what you pay for.

It seems like one of the easiest fixes for this problem is to implement a way around the 2GB barrier: 1. Allow files larger than 2GBs on systems that support this (e.g., Windows XP) 2. Automatically divide into several files as it renders so that the files are perfectly sliced and can be easily com...

Yes I'm putting 100% wet delay onto the track, i'm trying to delay all the sound by a few milliseconds during the mix into another track.

This gives the mix a more interesting "human" feel, especially when the delay is gradually increased from 0 to a few milli seconds over a bar or so.

I agree that Ableton cannot take account of every eventuality within every plugin, especially if there are long time delays. However a delay of 2 minutes is extremely unlikely and I suspect that going back by 1 bar before the start of the render point would cover 99% of all problems with effects tha...

I don't want to have to make 11 manual edits of my mixes every time I render a mix set.

Also once Ive rendered the file the Bar markers are no longer in place so it would take forever to get the editing right.

I'm sorry but if you still don't get this then I really can't help you.

(when the track is in the middle of a mix) if it's in the middle of a mix, then it's not at the begining nor the first beat, is it ? I have a CONTINUOUS mix of 13 songs, I have track markers at cutover point of each track. This is generally 17 bars into the next song. At the start of each rendered ...

I have a continuous mix of 13 songs, I have track markers at cutover point of each track. This is generally 17 bars into the next song. At the start of each rendered song there is a 1-14ms of silence (ie the waveform that should be there from the end of bar 16 has been removed by Ableton.) When Able...

The whole poingt is you are loosing time here (when the track is in the middle of a mix) and time could be a beat so chopping it out would completely ruin a mix CD. Even one beat would sound ridiculous, never mind 2 seconds. The solution is simple, Ableton should start a "virtual" render 1...

WORKAROUND FOUND

on another note, this sounds like no fun - making your mix then having to render each part individually, then edit it all back together. yuk The only reason I do this is Ableton cannot master to CD. So I have to export all the song files to high resolution WAV files so I can master the songs. Maste...

Ok I'll try and explain this a little more. If you have two tracks and they are being mixed. 1st track starts at 0 seconds 2nd track starts at 300 seconds You have a 14ms delay set on the first track across the mix. Ableton cannot render an entire 12 song mix at 96/24 so you are forced to render the...
