where is located the crash log?

had the same problem few days ago.

live 5 crashed on a song. I restarted, relaunched live, when I tried to open the als file some things loaded and then it crashed again, with a message "live 5 unexpectedly quit..."

I've trashed the preference file and tried to open the als file different ways ...
