Re: automation reset causes audio drops
Does all audio drop out, or does it just sound odd for a sudden bit? Particularly with effects like delay and reverb, sudden major shifts in parameter values can cause odd sounds. These sudden shifts will happen when you select "back to arrangement." Even when i'm not playing the recorded...

Re: automation reset causes audio drops
Just to clarify - this is happening when you select "back to arrangement," or when you delete automation? Also, what parameters are you automating? Is the audio drop-out universal, or just on the track(s) that are automated? Also, in the mean time, you should update to Live 8.2.1. It's a ...

automation reset causes audio drops
Hello guys! Each time I reset the automation I can hear a short pop-crack. Why is this happening? Even when the audio is stopped and I press the "reset automation" near the play button, I can hear that short annoying audio drop/crack/whatever. I'm using the M-Audio's ProjectMix I/O audio i...

map keyboard program change to locators
Hi guys. I own a Motif ES and I'm wondering if there's any possibility to move the cursor's position to any specified locator just by changing the keyboard's Performance/Song/Pattern (or the pattern's section -> A-P). Whichever of these (did I forgot anything?), not important. Important is to move t...

Re: BIG performance issue on MacBook
Yep I have that option. Before starting this thread it was "custom" and after talking with you, I put "Highest performance". Unfortunately I couldn't observe any performance increase in Live. This not means that "highest performance" can not improve the OS X's performan...

Re: BIG performance issue on MacBook
Oh... nice... explains the 64GB, right? $$$? Yep, it's an SSD, the price was somewhere at 145 euro. I hadn't the chance to test the setup on the stage but I'm pretty sure everything will be ok, since I cannot reproduce the errors in the studio. I don't need more than 64 GB since I will use this SSD...

Re: BIG performance issue on MacBook
Ok guys, I'm back with the latest information. As I said, I experiented audio glitch and crack problems while playing simultaneously 7-8 wave files (16 bit or 24) + one midi track for the drum rack. Of course, there are some effects on a few of these tracks, like voice compression or eq, nothing fan...

Re: BIG performance issue on MacBook
I replaced my MacBook's HDD with a Seagate Momentus 7200.3 320GB two years ago and it performs very well. Not a single glitch, very reliable, at least as quiet as the original Hitachi 5400 250GB drive and I didn't really notice any difference in the work of the fans. Andrejs You mean you've experie...

Re: BIG performance issue on MacBook
Unfortunately I have bad news related to my second problem. There are short audio drops, glitches however everything is set up. I'm playing 8 or 9 wave tracks, 16 bit each of them and all are set to HI-Q (higher CPU but better interpolation). These are the tracks of a song (drums, guitar, bass, keyb...

Re: BIG performance issue on MacBook
Ok guys, I'm back now with fresh news. After a meticulous ONYX cleanup, repair of permissions and whatever, guess what: all the 8 tracks are running without any problems!!! Yeah baby! The CPU meter shows 60%, I guess this is fine for my configuration. I'm looking forward to reproduce the audio glitc...

and a few drum racks (the session should be only opened, not started). Seriously it's the drum racks they're broken, you only need view the drumrack once after loading the project for it to go away. I literally have the same issue all the time! You mean: the Live's built-in drum rack has to be &quo...

Re: BIG performance issue on MacBook
The buffer was 512 as described in the help file, and the sample rate 44100. I haven't clicked on every track itself, I just started the test. I'll try this in a few hours when I'll be in the studio. As much as I know the hard disk space should not affect the CPU speed, as long as the partition is n...
