Re: 25% off upgrading = Live 9 announcement in early 2011?

jesus wept, it's not rocket science. Arg, I hate this kind of attitude. Especially when it's YOU who obviously don't "get" it. The original question was basically this: Will it be more expensive to buy NOW at a discount, AND purchase an upgrade... OR buy later AT FULL PRICE and get a free...

Lost in the hooplah is the fine print: AT&T will be jacking the cost of a data plan up by $10 more. (from $20 to $30 extra / month).

So you save $200 and pay $240 extra over the life of your contract.

ITS A GREAT DEAL!!!!!

No, there's no native mode. Yes, that does suck. It's "supported" like any other generic controller without readouts is supported.

Why not a interface similar to macros but just with VST devices? The eight knobs there with a midi map button, then you unpack the device (little triangle) to see Live´s interface to show the VST parameters and you are there...mapping. Then you hide the eight knobs, if you wish, and you save that m...

I know.. it seems ludicrous, to basically have the automap controlling whatever parameters the VST designer happened to put first in his list. So I can control the first 64 random parameters, in no useful order... WOO HOO! Combine that with the STILL 128 parameter limit for what params you can acce...

Nice idea, arachnaut. Not sure if anyone has done it before. One obvious implementation would be to do an FFT on the sound to get the frequency bands and then track and mopdify the amplitude changes of each band much as a compressor does for amplitude. Unfortunately think of the processing power nee...

That's a pretty weak workaround if you're arrange-centric.

Question: How does the "reverb tails" problem work with deep freeze? i.e. the audio tail from clip A extends into clip B's timeframe, so how does moving clips around deal with that? OOPS ANSWER to my own question. Sounds like Flatten is the stage where that is dealt with: >* Flattened clip...

First, know that you're not alone. I have suffered from the same anxiety/depressive disorder that you have. I've aso been through shrinks, pills, codependence etc. Just let it it be known to yourself that you're NOT a loser, give yourself a BREAK, and take some time to acknowledge your pain. I made ...

I'm planning to purchase my new laptop in the phase where the preinstalled OS is XP, but they include a free Vista upgrade. (have heard October/November) That way I can stay on XP until the drivers are there and the patches are there for Vista, and 64 bit software has emerged. Then I'll hop over. Be...

Linked MIDI clips & better piano roll please!

Two big feature wishes, plus one minor commandment from God: 1. MIDI linked clips (aka Ghost clips in Energy XT) Instead of just pasting new independant copies, this lets you make "clones". So when you edit clone A, clone B gets updated. Honestly I cant believe Ableton hasnt made this feat...
