Assigning macro without loosing individual parameter control
I love Ableton, with max4live and ClyphX scripts, but I really miss something important : the ability to assign parameters to a macro, and to keep control on those parameters, even with the ability to assign them to other macros. It would be a plus to assign those parameters in a relative way, like ...

Re: 'unlock' macro mapped parameters to allow adjustment
You are wright.. it's absolutely necessary for me in a lot of situations. One can make a sound, assign a lot of parameters to a macro, and still want to keep control on one or several parameters. With Ableton, I cannot use Macros, because I know I loose the parameters i assign. A lot of software all...

Re: Tweaking Mac for Music
Hi there,
Please, read the title!
We just want to tweak a new macbook pro that has dropout problems... If swapping can be an issue, I think the problem is more cpu related, since several person mentioned strange speed stepping gestion with those late I5/I7 mac.
Thank you

Re: Tweaking Mac for Music
I think it is useless to install more than 4GB for the 32bit version.

Re: Tweaking Mac for Music
Isn't your problem related to speedstepping?
This customer seems to experience the same thing:

The solution would be to try the last beta version, if they fixed that problem.

I still say Mac. OSX and XP on one machine. Best of both worlds. Be careful! that's what I thought, but it's the worst of both worlds, in my Macbook. 1. Jaguar is'nt stable. It needs an extra buffer (64 samples), and my Core duo performs very badly with Mac software (speed stepping, glitches, drops...

Hi Adamjay, and thanks for the informations. A few questions: Is it possible to edit the begining and end of several tracks? Is there a nudge option? Is it possible to nudge several tracks at once? Is it possible to loop a sample without warp mode? Is it possible to see the grid without activating s...

I had a Titanium and a G4 desktop. AdamJay Live 5 test gave more than 150% Cpu load. I had latency, cracks, even with hammerfall multiface, a lot of bugs (even with iTunes, Pro Tools, Safari, FireFox, Mail...) and worse, sometime, the powerbook doesn't want to wake up. I change for a second hand IBM...

Ok! I found a post on this forum (cpu saver), where somebody suggest the use of SpeedswitchXP, to force the best settings for maximum performance and cpu speed. //www.diefer.de/speedswitchxp/ With the same driver, cpu is now 34%, what I expected. I just hope this is not dangerous for the laptop. Sin...
