We just want to tweak a new macbook pro that has dropout problems... If swapping can be an issue, I think the problem is more cpu related, since several person mentioned strange speed stepping gestion with those late I5/I7 mac.

I think it is useless to install more than 4GB for the 32bit version.

Is the shared memory a problem on the mini? Forums say it isn't good in a pc. I didn't understand anything about what they say:"Minimum graphics memory usage is 80MB, resulting in 432MB of system memory available"... but they anounce an integrated Intel GMA950 graphics processor with 64MB ...

I had a Titanium and a G4 desktop. AdamJay Live 5 test gave more than 150% Cpu load. I had latency, cracks, even with hammerfall multiface, a lot of bugs (even with iTunes, Pro Tools, Safari, FireFox, Mail...) and worse, sometime, the powerbook doesn't want to wake up. I tried Asio4All:60%
With Rme driver and Hammerfall: 70%
I expected better performances...

I bought second hand T42 IBM. I think Something is wrong:

1)CPU 74% (peak),
2) laptop
3) IBM t42
4) Centrino 1,6 GHz
5) 1 Gig ram
6)MME/Direct X, internal card
7)HD speed:5400

Is it the driver?
