Sweet.
I didn't know about that command.
In addition, it was grayed out...turns out you have to have an output device chosen.
I am no longer connected to the multiple output device I am consolidating tracks for.
Away from that device I reset for builtin audio and the command is ungrayed.
Works great ...

In arrange view, in one track, group different clips together to form one larger (longer) clip that contains those smaller clips. It's okay if the smaller clips lose their identity.

I bought the Apple Magic Mouse. It works great with all apps except Ableton Live. When using Live the mouse cursor skips around as if my computer can't handle both delivering sound and tracking properly. But that isn't quite it because the tracking goes a little cookoo sometimes.
