Re: Anyone using Vista 64 bit successfully

Hi,

there are two program files in Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit - one for 32 bit and one for 64

is live 64 bit capable, if so, I can then install it in 'Program Files' if it's 32 bit then I must install it in 'Program files x86'

thoughts?

cheers

Re: Do I need recycle if I have Live

Hi - yes - the need to define my thoughts - I enjoy Live as well as several other DAWs - I have jumped into Reason as a means to build walls of sound with little CPU cost...I wish to experimemt with rex files...I caught a statememt..somewhere...that live could do what recycle does...now this is an a...

Re: why does reason 4 sound so much better than live 7?

very long thread indeed

my thoughts are simple

'whatever works for whatever reason'

still takes a charmed melody to stick in the brains of the creator and their audience - whatever can make this a reality has to be praised - I personally don't use loops - so what? I certainly don't mind if anyone else does!

WOW! just took a listen to Garritan for Reason - dam! under $100...and a fine collection ofsounds indeed! I'm sold! I'm sure Komplete 6.7.8.9 and beyond will work one day to steal me away into yet again an areana of software redundancy (as I all ready have Amplitube, Velvet, Strike, Reason, Sampleta...

a great overview - thanks I did not knoiw I coud try Ableton's orchestra as a demo - I'll look into that Structure....hum..no that is PT centric is it not...I wouldn't mind having a VST that could span both PT and Live...are thee any great orchestral library's out there for ST 2.5XL (as I have the e...

I am composing in a room, not playing live...so I'm not in a panic over the stability issue, but you are right that's a huge chunk of programs to 'throw on any system'

I think greed may win out on this one...it apperas to be a huge chunk of capability being offered here for cheap

Cheers

Hi Dave - I see your point on the 'way too many program front' ha ha...but too much is good problem to have Although, all I need is an orchestral library...the library that ableton is offering is only $300 cheaper then Komplete 5...so even if I don't use half the programs...I'm still doing well with...
