Almost 2 years since my last post on this and still nothing. It would be such a useful feature. Even if it was just for the stock Live instruments.

Sorry, but I think the Live engine needs a massive overhaul. Performance is awful compared with other DAWs. Unfortunately, I feel like I'm stuck with Live owning Suite and Push. Hopefully Live 10 will fix this once and for all along with all the other gunk which is the result of a unoptimised app.

There's been a few videos from Ableton about Live as a master controller for Midi hardware, but to be honest, it's not very good. I'd like to see decent Midi timing so Midi hardware runs as expected.

Are there less audio effect racks in Live 9? Today I was browsing them and instead of having a lot of choice like in Live 8, there seems to be hardly any. I find Live and Midi to be very inconsistent. I generally have to offset my hardware by -32ms for it to be in sync. But even then when I go to record (freeze) a Midi track it can be way off the grid. I'd personally like to see better handling of Midi in the next version, especially as Ableton themse...

Any word on this? I can use my footswitch with my APC40 but nothing with Push. Like the original poster I'd prefer not to have to use my APC just for that functionality and instead use the Push which has 2 footswitch in/outs.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I have all that set up-just can't stop the feedback. Urgh. Basically I can only use Push one way (send to devices)... a shame as it would be great to have 2 way dialog. I'll keep digging.

I can't seem to get Live / Push playing nice with my external Elektron gear. It seems if I have my Input Track on in my Midi prefs I just get a ton of stuck notes and feedback city, this is both playing via Push or playing via the external gear. If I turn off Input then it works but it's a one way c...

Thanks for your help. Hmmmmm, looks like I might need a Midi patch bay which can handle all the ins and outs. It's been a while since I used Midi (late 90s?)… it's bringing back the 'fun' memories!
