Re: User colors on your Push!!!
I'm starting to dig around on the color code to try to figure out if something is possible... What I'd like to do is use an 8-color palette to represent the musical notes. I use note mode a LOT, and change keys/scales pretty frequently. This means that I've always got the root note and the scale rep...

Well, what if you could have multiple projects open?
I couldn't tell you how many times I had "legos" in one project that I would love to just copy and paste into another.

Re: Has anyone launched Live in MacOS Sierra beta 1 or 2 yet?
Too soon!! Even installing less than 3 months after public release is too soon! :x :P Tabs for what? Doesn’t look like anything that would apply to Live. Switching from session view to arrange view? That’s already built in Live and (ironically) you use the tab button for that. I'm with you, but you...

I'm wondering how the tabs will work. I have zero expectations for functionality, but am interested in seeing how this works out.

Re: Push workflow -for making music (not performing)
I've been using my Push for about 18 months now, and don't think I could live without it. I mainly use it for performing, although not like most people -- I'm mostly not firing off clips and using lots of automation, I'm playing improvisational jazz and also using it to play keyboards in a jam band....

Re: It's exactly 2 years since Push had an update
It's my favorite musical instrument ever, and I've played a lot of different stuff over the years.
I just wish they'd let us know what the future holds.

Wow, two whole years of complete radio silence.
That's both impressive and sad. I really wish Ableton would speak up about the future of this thing. Something. Anything.

Re: Please allow Live to load with no audio device selected
For the record, this is what I'm talking about: http://crap.libertylost.org/audio_is_disabled.png PLEASE make it so that this dialog doesn't stop Ableton from loading. I have sets that can take upwards of 5-10 minutes to load, coming back after that amount of time to find that this dialog is staring...

Re: Am I overcomplicating the foot switch in my head?
For my Push I'm using: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00005ML71/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Yamaha FC-5 Sustain Pedal for Portable Electronic Keyboards I like that it looks and feels different than my sustain pedal. Thank you, that's both physically and cognitively what I was...

Re: Am I overcomplicating the foot switch in my head?
Yes. that's all you need. But, Unfortunately it has very inaccurate results (accurate input, but hesitant reaction time due to its intended behavior). There is another thread on here that goes pretty indepth about the actual behavior of the pedal recording method. But yeah. Just a regular old susta...

Am I overcomplicating the foot switch in my head?
I have a sustain pedal that I love, and I'm looking to set up a trigger pedal for recording.
Everything I see is just another sustain pedal -- is that all I really need, and to just tap it once/twice?

I've been screaming for it! Have fun with your glass half full. I have half a glass of awesome, it does everything they told me it would, I am an happy user, if you want something that does something else why not go buy something else? To be fair, simple things like the question in the OP are compl...

I will, the stuff in that glass is pretty potent. I've had mine a year now, and still find something I didn't know every time I look into it.Asymmetricalmusic wrote:I've been screaming for it!

Re: MIDI learning knobs - sweep only goes 123-127?
OK, a little more info. I can map knobs in Live to the *sliders* with no problem. They work perfectly, and there are no options whatsoever for relative values. The sliders still insist on setting relative values, and don't work. I end up with a range of 123-127. I opened up the MF8 editor (GraphiteM...

MIDI learning knobs - sweep only goes 123-127?
I picked up a Samson MF8 tonight, so I can map the knobs and sliders to various effects in my live rig. I started mapping a few FX knobs to the device knobs, which seemed to work fine, but once they're up to 128, they will only go back down to 123, and no lower. Is there something I'm missing? I not...
