Re: Launchpad : tips n tricks, ideas, suggestions

Re: Advanced automation recording and grouping effects.
just keep staking the racks onto each other and use rt click to assign the hopefully 6 knobs you need to the macro and that way you only have to look at 6 knobs maybe 12 - use effects racks -IMO_ or get a korg nanokontrol for like 59 buck and your set... midi controllers are supposed to make it easi...

Re: Launchpad : tips n tricks, ideas, suggestions
for drum racks and virtual instruments try place an arpeggiator in front of you midi instrument, make sure to route your midi signal back to launch pad in seperate midi track!
For virtual instruments try and place a major or minor chord in front of your instrument and play normally.

Re: Mapping OUTPUT midi cc's to my controller?
try and add another midi track and set its input to the channel that the sound you are playing with midi, and put the out put back to the numark stealth, its works on a launchpad to get colors and visual notice of recorded notes on my launchpad.

Re: Looper problems/ still cant seem to get it right
Double tapping on the MPTB will stop the looper, and holding down the MPTB for 2 seconds will clear the recording, freeing up a loop for future use. taken from http://rewiredforsound.blogspot.com/2009/09/ableton-live-8-looper-korg-nanopad.html which I highly recommend watching if you want to use lik...

Re: SLICE TO NEW FOLLOW ACTION!!!
OR how about follow actions between channels, so you can launch the acapella right on beat a and get to that point of the mix whenever without having to get near the arrangement view, then you could do madness with your follow actions set to random.
sounds good..

Re: Newb Here - I want to do live mixing / mashups
the APC 40 will get you going and up to speed pretty quickly, it has more knobs and sliders than a nanoKontrol does in one scene and you get sliders and knobs, try sweeping a filter while crossfading on the launchpad you'll understand. Or going from beat repeat to filter sweep to cossfade, is just n...

Re: Launchpad : tips n tricks, ideas, suggestions
On my mixer page I mapped the kills for the high low and mid of my EQ 3 kills to the top three rows of my mixer page, 6 channels of that helps me sort out some weird mixes, and looks cool as the buttons on top 3 rows are now yellow on the mixer page. I picked up a korg NanoKontrol and it frees up th...
