Just a question...do you have tried to use the same method with other soft-samplers? I'm sure that the sound results will be very very very different. A very short recording (or single cycle waveforms) cannot reproduce the sound in "a right way". This is because every sampler uses its own...

single cycle analog? ha. I knew I should have included the disclaimer for all the ANALog purists. Which states that in no way shape or form are these Sampler Instruments meant to perfectly model or emulate the dynamic world of analog synthesis. Would be a neat trick if I could magically turn Sample...

Hi Christian,

I've added the ableton emails to my contact list. Do you think I have to re-send my email?

Thanks,

Adam A7 : bass reflex question

Hi There, I know that currently Live 8 topics rule but I try all the same. I've purchased a couple of Adam A7, actually great loudspeakers. I pass over their quality and I ask you: do you think there are problems if I plug the bass reflex holes? Can this procedure damage the loudspeakers? This quest...

Alternative use of Live

I use Live to zip large WAV files that I have to upload on my FTP. The ALP compression works extremely better (+50%) than classic zip, rar, sit (etc) formats.. :)

If you decided to buy a Sony VAIO, pay attention to the OS installed by default. Some models has a locked bios that doesn't allow you to install (for example) Windows Vista PRO or XP or Linux. I made a gift to my bros that now is forced to use Vista Home

SIMPLY : THEY CANNOT KNOW IF YOU HAVE OR NOT HAVE SOLD YOUR COPY

Where is their proof? Your email message? It's ridiculous.. A low-level lawyer would destroy them..

Re: Live fucked me yesterday

Once I had my setup running I opened the project and after loading like 60% of the samples live gave me the "an internal error occurred" and "not enough free memory" error messages. I even could see the arrangement but Live wouldn't respond anymore. Needless to say that this gav...

Re: did anyone use Live 1 ??

just wondering if anyone used Live 1? how was it. did it have elastic audio? what were its features like? how was the interface? maybe some screenshots. I remember that Live 1.xx warping was a bit tedious..but it worked fine. Apart the time spent to warp the loops (if I remember well the actual and...

Re: can't believe - does reason really sound better than liv

hi all, what the f**k ? is live's audio engine really that weak? do you really wanna say that reason sounds that good? i always thought that live is professional software. but when it needs 10+ effects to get the powerful sounds - which another noob-a-like software can do without any effect....well...

There is no huge considerable change in the summing engine. It has a higher precision whenever two or more signals are summed up, yes, but the audio-processing stays 32-bit. What makes a huge difference between Live 6 and 7 is the higher quality of the inbuild effects, which in turn also benefit fr...
