I'm also having a problem with my CPU usage. Tracks have delays and glitches as it's going up to 45% mark.

I'm using live 5 though, and a macbook. I understand that a laptop will have less power but I'm looking for ways in which I can reduce the metre.

I'm still a beginner in the recording processes in Live, but this is driving me up the wall.... Every time I try to record a live set, it starts to freeze in parts, then start again, delays and eventually doesn't respond anymore! Has anyone had similar problems that they may have a solution too ...

I'm new to this game so sorry if this is a silly question but are you able to record sounds in real time or 'pencil them in' beat by beat to create our own clips on live 5? I'm thinking of buying wanted this but just wanted to check this first.
