sorry... take my deepest apologies, I shouldn't post before analyzing all options... somehow Windows switched my default out to my gaming headset, that lies beneath me, and obviously is rather silent. Switching back to my speakers solved it (when mixing I use my Motu828, so I didn't notice )

it just sucks. I have studio grade monitoring speakers, and when I export to WAV, and replay the file, it only has a 20th of the volume I hear when I playback from Live. This never happened to me with reaper. The Software just is crap.

this is just so wrong. In every software I have the ability to export mp3, Ableton is just shy of the license. I also can export from photoshop to jpg, so wth?

this software really sucks big time. I usually use reaper for my sequencing needs, and only revert to ableton when I have a feel I nned to use a lot of loops. If it crashes, you have a stale process, that you can't kill (yeah, I know, disable audio device and so on, still doesn't work... I have a 25...
