ABLETON stop fucking around and sort out the modulation in live. We need automation clips, and lfo's and envelope followers. JESUS ! How hard can it be ? Keep all your freaking synths, have you not noticed there are shit loads of VST's everywhere you look. The last thing live needs is sample librari...

Word. A simple LFO / or Envelope follower plugin is standard in most software. I cannot understand why ableton keeps adding all these redundant bells and whistles (already available as commercial and freeware VST's) yet they don't address BASIC functions which are not accessable as VST's. I am sick ...

I have the same problem. Changing buffer doesn't help.
I get good audio then downsampled audio.
Changeing the audio driver to MME then back to ASIO fixes it.
I have turned of any powersettings on my computer (Toshiba Satelline P4 3GHz)

recording automation in session / clip mode

I can't believe this is the only method. I'm trying to record automation in a clip in session mode and it will not overdub ANY midi automation. We can overdub clips with notes but not automation whilst in session. Am I missing something ? Another work around is to record the clip into Arrangement wi...

It was the fucking Hyperthreading !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had it switched off in bios (I'm not running multiple apps)
But it was shitting on my Audiophile big time.

As soon as I switched it on it worked fine.
So not an Ableton problem. Or SpeedSwitch.

I also get this is low sample rate style digital noise.
It occurs after about 20min using 5.03 / XP / Audiophile.
The play button also disables.

I think it's an Ableton bug as it's completely repeatable and new to v5

RE: fixes

In my configuration (see above ~ XP, Audiophile)
I find that if I switch my outputs in the Audio configuration menu, between DirectX / Wave or ASIO it sorts the problem out temporarily.
(problem being disable cue button and or very downgraded / low sample rate sound)

Second this bug. I can run smooth on my internal soundcard (win XP, 3GHZ, Live 5.03) But when I use the Audiophile for more than 20min it will disable the cue (play) button in Live and cease playing any audio. How can this be right ? Don't they advertise Live & Audiophile as a combo ? What were ...
