Trackpad Gestures on second screen

While not technically a music question I'm sure some of you have experience with this. I'm running a MacBook Pro with Mojave. I just bought a large curved screen to use as a second screen, but I find some trackpad gestures dont operate on the second screen. Is this normal, is there a workaround or a...

Re: step advance automatically- midi recording

Yes I found that article. It’s not the method I am after. I shouldn’t have to advance the note by hitting the arrow keys. Just play it on my keyboard and have it auto advance.

step advance automatically- midi recording

Hi Apologies if this is a dumb question. I want to record midi in note by note by hitting the keys on my midi keyboard, without the track running, just banging in an arpeggio set by step and have the notes recorded one at a time with the sequencer advancing one step after reach note is pressed. then...

Re: Trackpad speed is over the top. How to slow it down?

I have the same problem- Live 8.4.2 upon upgrading to OS X Mojave, the control of parameters moves way to fast. Tried creating the Options.txt file and when starting up, Live said it was unknown and would be ignored. I had the same problem, OS was creating a Rich Text File instead of a .txt file. S...

saving the Wav's from the decoding cache in mac

I remember a video (but can't find it now) where it explained how to get Live to convert mp3's to Wav, then move the Wavs to another location. I have changed to Mac and i can't seem to locate the decoding cache file. I can find it in Live /preferences but I can't seem to find it in Finder, the "Libr...

my list

Be nice to be able to send audio out from an audio rack, and also be able to send audio back to itself. And LFO/Modulation/Sidechain on the macros in racks. and. When previewing sounds from the browser, it would be nice to have the option of routing it to a channel so it can be processed the same as...

Headphone output, deciphering jargon

Currently I am using an M-Audio FW410. My setup consists of a Macbook Pro, Slim Phatty, Mono Evolver and a tape delay. I monitor through headphones most of the time (baby in the house). A problem I have with the FW410 is the level on the headphone output is really low. I use AKGK702 headphones. I al...

Having trouble recording controller data with Sylenth

Hi This may take awhile to explain. From my controller I am able to manipulate any controllable parameter in Sylenth but I have to go about it in two ways. 1. Assign a controller the CC number as stated in the manual for Sylenth, for example CC 71 is for Cutoff, so I make the control surface transmi...

Re: Is the Lemur iOS app useless with Live without Max4Live?

I have recently bought the Lemur app for my iPad. i must say that i find myself spending a hellova lot of time scratching my head trying to figure how to program the thing. Dont expect plug and play. Unless you can get your head around writing script then go for the more plug and play packages out t...

mapping multiple midi messages to one parameter

i have a need to map two different midi buttons to one parameter in Ableton, sort of as two differently configured macros, currently I see ableton will always overwrite with in the midi menu the last controller touched for a given parameter. is there a script or something (trick) that would allow me...

midi map question using Lemur on iPad by editing the cc note

I can't seem to log into the Liine forum so have posted this question here. I recently purchased Lemur for iPad and now have my head jammed attempting to program the thing, I'm sure the results will be worth it. This is really a question about Ableton. I Lemur I am using a multiball object which out...

problem with phasing in a feedback loop

I am having latency issues when setting up a delay feedback loop. its as if the send is adding a millisecond(s) of latency as the signal passes through, causing phasing and nasty frequencies The feedback loop is simple, from a track in Ableton, not external, a ping pong delay and limiter (both Ablet...
