Re: Retaining automation in clip without automation envelope.
Thanks, Tarekith. I remember he was kicked off for a while, but then that post seemed semi-recent (3 years ago), so I wasn't sure if he was allowed back or something. In any case, thanks for the info.

Nice to see people using the search function. Good for you!
This type of workflow is totally possible. I made a video showing it here:

Editing Clip Automation With Keystrokes
I think it would be fantastic to be able to use the up and down arrow keys to adjust automation values in the Envelopes Box. It's great that we can select automation using the arrows (shift + left/right arrow keys... on mac), and that if the mouse cursor approaches the selected automation, that it t...

Re: Insert Time and "Enter" Key.
Just got around to reading this. Hitting "Enter" twice is good enough for me - and I wasn't even aware of the selection method. Thank you!

Re: default velocity for the pads
Hi jbone1313, I moved across country, and haven't touched my Push in well over 6 months because I stored it in the city I used to live in (good news is I'm flying back and retrieving it soon!)... but when I did use that workflow, it worked fine. The script that "vojd" mentions sounds inter...

Re: Vertical Consolidation
If your having a single midi clip with different instruments in it, you can use the "extract chain" command on the drum rack's single instrument lanes to create an additional midi clip with only this specific single instrument in it. This command even deletes the chosen single instrument ...

Insert Time and "Enter" Key.
Just a minor suggestion for convenience: When using the "Insert Time" command (command + i, on my mac), it would be nice if the "Ok" button was automatically highlighted - allowing the user to type in a number of bars to insert and then simply hitting "enter" to execute...

Re: Native Instruments Massive-Creating Presets with Attributes
This post was very helpful. Thank you, jhm1138. Just to emphasize one point - the names of the folders in the Massive File Browser differ from the names of those same folders when viewed in a mac finder window. They correspond as follows: "My Favorites"= Documents>Native Instruments>Massiv...

Re: Anti-Celebrity. Anti-Fame.
the real reason for not liking celebrity worship is IMO because it's not the celebrities you think should be worshiped. Would anyone really care if we were talking about Einstein? MLK? Bob Moog? I would certainly feel less averse to spending a lot of time and social energy toward a person like MLK ...

How so? Are you being paid to read the Ableton forum? That sounds like it would be a great job!Tarekith wrote:You think that's weird, I get paid to read about the people talking about the phenomenon of people talking about the phenomenon of celebrity.
