Re: ableton microkorg problems - noob stuff

did you try loading a drum kit up? im not super familiar with the microkorg, I have an oxygen8 though and it should work similarly. the drum kit resembles mpc pads and runs accross a series of midi notes. it should correspond to the microkorg once you adjust the octave the microkorg is putting out, ...

Re: Pre-Listening, what do I need?

pretty sure you basically need to have an asio card with 2 stereo out (1/2 master 3/4 cue is my setup) to get it to work.
I stay away from anything except midi controllers that use USB. get a pci

Re: apc40 is too limited

alienguts your argument is shit. FACT: the APC40 rocks. FACT: Ableton Live (full version) rocks. Pay for the upgrade and stop whining or go use Logic or something. Neither of your facts disagree with me. Fact: you forgot to take your meds Yes it's 'a controller built for Live. Whose fault is it for...

Re: apc40 is too limited

Well you're being general about DAW and not acknowledging this is the only DAW the APC40 is even made for. If it were for anything else I'd just get a Korg. See how it works? I'm still going to buy it for operator but I think the APC40 should get more tracks. It just limits me until I get money coll...

Re: apc40 is too limited

Obviously, but the apc isn't exactly cheap and the full version is very expensive. For what I paid I didn't get very much of anything. 8 tracks is very limited. I might just return it and get something better for my money. for all the effects and plugs and stuff the full version comes with I can see...

apc40 is too limited

I get through about a third or a half of my song when I run out of tracks, and think it silly to render tracks to audio files to keep going, that would take too long. the APC is made for 64 tracks not 8, that is clear. I have the akai ableton edition and I can only use 8 anythings. same with effects...

Re: 8.1.3 and CPU overload CALLING ALL FORUM MEMBERS!

Yeah if you are running VISTA/WIN7 you need to have a lot more CPU/RAM power just to load the OS and ableton on top of those hungry OS makes even higher req's so if your machine is on the borderline you might want to drop to XP which has much less severe requirements as an OS. people who are having ...

Re: 8.1.3 and CPU overload CALLING ALL FORUM MEMBERS!

Gotta say I had cpu overload problems playing around with the software and figured out how to avoid them, so I don't have them any more and only running dual core. but it seems Macintosh is definitely having problems. also I haven't gotten to using the rewire with other programs yet. predict a lot o...
