Re: Latency from Hardware Synth

It seems that synth has USB, though I don't know if it shows up as ports that you can actually use. 6ms latency is about right for normal MIDI one-way before it reaches the synth. USB would be much faster if it has it. Put 6ms positive delay on the MIDI track and the audio should then align when re...

Re: Latency from Hardware Synth

As well as audio latency etc. which is adjusted by the preferences audio settings (and you should be able to get low latency with an RME interface like yours) another factor can be how long it takes a MIDI synth to turn MIDI instructions into sound. That can sometimes take a few milliseconds, which...

Latency from Hardware Synth

[img]Hey, I'm misunderstanding something fundamental to do with latency when using an external synth. I hope someone can help. I'm having trouble with latency when recording a Korg minilogue XD into Ableton Live 10. I have a midi track with the external instrument inserted. It is set up so that when...

It seems like it is a bad idea to record audio directly into the default template of live and then save your project afterward especially if you save you...

Solo Midi Notes

Hey users,

Is there a way to solo midi notes in the midi area?

Im aware that I can select everything else and hit 0 but this seams cumbersome. I want to be able to select a note and solo it?

Surely its possible but I cant find it.

Cheers,

Hugh

using live 8 as a plugin for pro-tools

Hey, Anyone know how to get live to show up in the multi channel plugin menu of pro-tools?? I have tried the different start up sequences and tried to do it on Instrument, Midi and Aux tracks to no avail. I figure it must be something in preferences but i cant find it. Appreciate any help. hugh
