I think this is only on Mac, but I've found it corroborated elsewhere online: the dreaded "UNKNOWN FILE ID" pop-up error that occurs, oh, about 70% of the time (sometimes 90%, it ebbs and flows, inexplicably) when you try to save something in the User Library. Think it doesn't matter? It does ...

Erosion and Vocoder Bug ?
Just discovered a strange behaviour in 8.1.4. and 8.1.5.
Maybe someone can reproduce this.
Erosion:
- open a new project.
- insert erosion on an audio track and adjust width and and q amount.
- then duplicate this track.
- the duplicated erosion effect shows a completely different graphical width ...

multiple midi ports same hardware
hi,
i had to reconnect my soundcard ,midi controller etc. a couple of times.. well i probably did not pay any attention to put them into the same usb or firewire port.
now ive got a mess...
there´s a multiple listing of the same midi ports in ableton.
how do i get rid of the multiple entries ...

my first post here.. anyway.. i tried to search for a similar feature wish but couldn´t find one.
i would love to have this feature:
when you press ctrl+alt+s ableton should save your current live-set with increasing numbers at the end of the live set name.
for example:
innitial live-set name ...
