No VSTi's working properly anymore
Today all of a sudden my synths like Razor, Sylenth and Prism will refuse to play any preset except the first one in it's default list. I can switch it while the track is playing but as soon as i stop the arrangement and hit play again, it reverts back to preset 1 in the list. Why is this? I've been...

Does anyone bounce out ableton files into pro-tools?
I'm wondering how much of a hassle this is. I like to start off creating songs in Ableton because I feel it's the fastest way to get ideas down, but unfortunately it's a 32bit program and only uses 4GB of RAM. I have 16GB of RAM in my system and would love to use a different program that utilizes al...

64bit plugins not recognized
I'm running windows 7 64bit with Live 8.2.2 and I noticed whenever I install a plugin (both 32bit and 64bit versions) only the 32 bit version shows up in Live.
Why is this?

When a plugin is causing your project to crash
One of my plugins keeps crashing my project. I can delete my preferences, open the project without the plugins and it works. The problem is, is there a way to find out which plugin is causing the problem? I have about 15 on this project and individually deleting one by one and trying to re-open will...

Midi scale locking
How easy would this be to do? Have the option to choose what scale your song is in, so when you write in MIDI notes it won't let you put notes in out of the scale you selected.

Re: Highlighted scales on piano roll
Maybe there is a vst compatible with Ableton that does this?
It sounds like it would be pretty easy to do, and convenient for those who don't know music theory.

Highlighted scales on piano roll
I've heard from several people that Fruity Loops has a feature on the midi piano roll where if you hit a note it will highlight what other notes in the scales are available.

I had this same problem. On the audio track make sure monitor is set to "in" and not "auto" or "off".

Holy lord it worked. You are a saint.
Well the sliders and setting buttons are working, still trying to see if the pads work.

Re: how to setup microkontrol as natively supported controller?
Nothing changed on the keyboard for me. And I seemed to follow the instructions right.
By USB audio device they mean my audio interface? And not the actual MicroKontrol? Either way I tried both and nothing changed.
