Re: UC33e compared to launch control?

I've had a UC-33 some years ago. I'd say the build quality on the LCXL is better, it's slim and sleek. Feels actually very good to work on. Compared to the UC-33: USB only - not a problem if your using it as Live controller only Center detent of the pots - annoyed me a bit in the beginning as I don'...

Re: Crash on Set Load: "From 5 to Audio queue timeout"

Just for information in case somebody else comes across this: Ableton support was very helpful in explain the error (a CPU overload) and pointing to potential solutions. Eventually, I found the "faulty" thing being the imposcar VST (the original, not imp2). GForce support say that imposcar is no lon...

Re: changing live session presets via scene change or midi ctrl?

Live's MIDI Clips support MIDI program changes as well as bank changes: https://www.ableton.com/en/manual/clip-view/#bank-and-program-change Now the key thing is: your plug-in has to recognize those MIDI program changes. Live's internal instruments and effects don't do that. Some 3rd party plug-ins ...

Re: free play?

Unfortunatelly this doesn't work, each loop sounds the same as previous one. Sound must change randomly over the time That's quite different to "free playback". Then you should look more into modulations, either in your sound sources (e.g. plug-ins) or in effects on the tracks. A key thing for rand...

Re: free play?

Use session mode.
Set global quantisation to "None".
Trigger the clips freely.
Make sure clips have different lengths.

Imposcar2 - wrong patch after loading a live set

Every now and then my imposcar2 plug-in tends to "forget" the preset it was saved to. After loading a live set than contains one or several instances of imposcar2, sometimes the plug-in is set to a different preset than the live set was saved to. I haven't really found a way of reproducing the pheno...

Re: host multiple audio clips in one slot??

You won't need M4L, since you can "host" each audio file in a Simpler and put a number of them into chains of a rack.
You can crossfade between chains, if that's your idea of "morph".

Re: Push developer kit: M4L devices for Push!

Does anybody have a link to the kit? The original site seems to be down I was looking for it as well, the florianzand site still is down. Anyway, I found it here: https://cycling74.com/forums/topic/push-development-kit/ And the direct link (thank to G. Bravetti in that thread): https://www.dropbox....

Re: Deleting tracks within an .als file?

A "bad" plug-in is usually a candidate for such a crash. Provoke the crash and find the log.txt afterwards. https://www.ableton.com/en/help/article/live-crash-packs/ It should give some indication what caused the crash, in the suspect case the loading of a specific plug-in. Temporarily remove the pl...

Re: Sending Program Changes to Effect Plug-Ins (like Presswerk)

just make an extra midi track and then under "midi to" choose the right channel and in the dropdown below "presswerk" Perfect - That did it! It's not the best solution since I need that extra track, but at least it works. Actually, I did not know that you could send MIDI to specific devices in a Tr...

Re: Sending Program Changes to Effect Plug-Ins (like Presswerk)

Thanks for pointing that out, but it doesn't do the trick. Since it's a M4L MIDI Effect, it can only sit before the Instrument PlugIn, which "catches" the MIDI PC. But what I'm trying to do is to send a MIDI PC to a device after the Instrument PlugIn. I've also tried to put the same device you linke...
