I contacted Ableton Tech Support on this one, this is the reply i got.....

Live 6 will run flawlessly with 10.5, but not with 10.6 due to some changes Apple did under the hood.

Is anyone having any problems using live 6 with mac os 10.5 or 10.6?
I'm looking at upgrading my os from 10.4 to one of the above so i can use logic studio but would still like to use live 6 via rewire. Does anyone run this set up?

I've just booted up live on its own with the 002 on, and in preferences under the midi tab i can see the midi ports, but under the audio tab just 2 optionss, 'no device' or 'built in audio controller 2in 2out'


If anyone can shead any light on this i'd be very gratefull.

I was under the impression the 002 rack would show up in the live 5 preferences when i use live without the protools software?


Has anyone else had this problem? Im completely stumped?
