Punch Out turns off recording in appearance, but it actually continues to capture audio in the background. If you try to move the recording file after punch out (presumably expecting no recording), you'll discover that it actually recorded the entire track until you manually pressed the stop button.

Correct me if I'm wrong: in Performer (pre arrangement module) I need to create double tracks and since I need to record at least 5, it becomes cumbersome. I just need a simple command to virtually click off the record button

I think, on Mac you can route a midi signal from Live`s midi out back to Live`s midi in with the IAC midi driver. I`m on WIN10 and use LoopMidi for this purpose. If you’re using the vst3 version of those plugins, you will have this issue. It’s not really going to resolve from un and re installing things. It is a known issue.

Thank you for the replies. In Cubase they all work without problems. It's a Live thing.

Back to report I did reset Live, and nothing changed. Today, out of frustration, I even upgraded to Ventura OS, with no results.
