Re: VST Doesn't Appear After Re-open Project

WHat VST? What OS? What version of Live? If it's a case of the VST window is not showing, you need to reopen the VST window when you load a project. The device that you load the VST into on the track has a little spanner that opens the plugin window. As for not producing sound, could be many things.

Re: Song sounds perfect in ableton but exported it sounds bad ):

By the way, jestermgee, science doesn't require video recordings or downloads -- repeatability is the essential quality. My instructions are clear and the experiment is simple. It even works with the stock "Ensemble Brass" instrument: it takes 2 minutes tops. Try it yourself to be convinced that th...

Re: Song sounds perfect in ableton but exported it sounds bad ):

"Replican" preset from Punch And Tilt uses Analog with unsynced 3.2 kHz vibrato and unsynced 0.2 Hz LFO2, and also Flanger with unsynced 0.01 Hz LFO. Not sure if Analog has further analog emulation in the oscillators, filters and LFOs that would cause even more randomness, but it is common in analo...

Re: Song sounds perfect in ableton but exported it sounds bad ):

Since the issue doesn't affect me I won't spend my time to replicate the result. You could make a vid of your findings to make it easier for people to see what you are on about. Maybe that preset has something like a free running LFO or phaser effect or something. Not knowing "how it sounds differen...

Re: Using Arcade with Ableton

Good evening! So I downloaded Arcade last night and I've been able to record some things with it in Ableton. However, now when I try to use another instrument to add to my track it only plays the Arcade sounds. Does anyone know how to switch back to the other instruments? Thank you. Best Regards, M...

Re: MIDI Velocity Changes Have No Effect on 3rd Party Plugins

I have also problem like this, midi velocity doesn't work with kontakt 5, FM8, Omnisphere but its working with EZ Drummer. I think its a big bug in Ableton 10.0.6  Don't think so. I use Omnisphere in Live 10.0.6 and have no such issue. Maybe your keyboard is locked to max velocity (or isn't v...

Re: Waves plugins

Ive personally wrapped every waves effect (and most my others) into racks which I put in folders to find them much easier and forget the plugin menu. Nothing worse than thinking "i'll try a different compressor today" only to have 20 locations to look and test with, you end up just using glue all th...

Re: Song sounds perfect in ableton but exported it sounds bad ):

Live 10.0.6 exports inconsistently today, so the thread is still relevant. Maybe google searches lead here for a reason: people are experiencing problems with export. At least in my case, it is NOT the usual suspects: drivers, bit depth, sample rate, dithering, etc. It is also not faulty 3rd party ...

Re: spilling wine on my push

Get a screw driver and learn how to disassemble and clean it. With an hour of work you could have it all cleaned up and working like new again, it's not that hard. A skill worth learning if you are going to drink around your gear with butter fingers.

Re: I don't understand the point of Looper when we have clips/session view

Ability to easily overwrite a recorded loop on the fly for a starter. Clips once recorded need to be deleted manually. Looper is designed to be usable with something like a single foot switch.

Re: Why do my tracks sound better inside Ableton than exported?

There are a million different variables when mixing in general, both internally and externally, however like with all gear heads, one is tempted to get the best out of there equipment. https://www.meterplugs.com/blog/2017/02/03/does-64-bit-summing-sound-better.html ^Here is an article about 64 bit ...

Re: Make Push 2 wireless

Question really is have you seen any wireless solutions for USB? Considering the speeds needed for bi-directional USB and the requirement for low latency, probably not a thing that will happen. Also, you may get rid of the wire between hardware and computer, but you still need a cable for power. Des...

Re: Replace sample

Well that's where a drum rack comes in handy for swapping out drum hits if that is what you refer to.

Otherwise, it's really no harder than drag-drop to replace a sample in the timeline.
