Re: Touch screen monitor recomendation

Have you tested Live with touch support yet?

Apparently it's not optimized well for TS displays and some things will be very hard to adjust such as any knobs.

Re: Push 2 Mod Wheel Problem

No it is normal. There is a slight "dead spot" in the middle when you use it as a pitch bend and the LEDs seem to be "hard coded" to highlight this dead spot when you run your finger down the strip (you see it snap/pause in the middle) however this is visually a dead spot and not in the case of actu...

Re: Push 1 vs push 2 case

If it is a perfectly molded case then possibly not. Push 2 is slightly shallower than P1 but I believe footprint wise it is slightly bigger. Maybe google the dimensions of each and see if it may work. Depends on how tight the fit of the case is really but if you need a case, a laptop bag may do the ...

Re: Push Vst Preset Racks

There should be seen envelopes contours instead of numbers for instance . NI had gold in their hands when they launched mk2 series but stopped further development a little too quickly. So much more potential for improvement (as on push). Since push does more, like sequencing, and as I'm no keyboard...

Re: Ableton 10 Questions

If it is grey it means the control is not applicable to the current signal chain. You can still switch the control on/off and the grey colour changes, but it is not affecting the audio as you would have other settings enabled which overwrite these settings. If you enable the Mono switch for instance...

Re: Ableton! The GUI lags are still NOT SOLVED! How long are we supposed to wait for the fix?

Yeah I can also confirm there is the issue you talk of when I start recording that project. Issues of why you have chains of compressors and limiters aside, if I delete one of the drum tracks you have (the first one) it seems to pick up and work perfectly after that. So could be some kind of strange...

Re: Why Would the Audio Coming From my Mic come out BOTH the S. Monitor & Headphones?

I assume you have both monitors and headphones connected to the Focusrite Scarlett Solo? Looks like it's a pretty basic interface and probably doesn't have any management for routing. The headphone and stereo out both appear to be tied together with no actual switch or independant controls so basica...

Maybe just post a link to your test project so others can give it a go and detail what exactly it is that you have in the project.

Re: Ableton! The GUI lags are still NOT SOLVED! How long are we supposed to wait for the fix?

Edited while you replied... However, it could be a plugin you use. I had an issue with a plugin that was designed to detect chords. As soon as I added it into a project it caused everything to become very unresponsive. Since there are few to no posts with people having the same issue and you have th...

Re: Ableton! The GUI lags are still NOT SOLVED! How long are we supposed to wait for the fix?

Yeah no idea personally, have never had an issue like that. Does seem graphics related and not sure how huge your project is but I have created some pretty big projects and not had that kind of issue myself. However, it could be a plugin you use. I had an issue with a plugin that was designed to det...

Re: Ableton! The GUI lags are still NOT SOLVED! How long are we supposed to wait for the fix?

^^ How big are your projects? How many tracks and how much routing? How much automation within clips etc? How long jams do you record at once? Thanks Might ask you the same question along with pc specs etc. I too have never experienced this issue and have used Live now for 10 years on 5 different s...

Re: Fixed Length button - Not obvious when on / off

Are you using the power adapter with Push? Have to say I cannot confirm your problem myself, with my lights on and standing 5m across the room, it is the one button that is easy to determine because it pulses when it is on, just means you have to look for a second, not a quick glance. Don't believe ...

Re: Push Vst Preset Racks

Yeah often you will find that parameters have been mapped within the VST loader and not to the macro section (since the macros are limited to 8 and kind of hard to design well to work with all preset sounds). I'm also like Mark, I use to use Push a long time ago to browse and load presets and even c...

Re: Best Control surface w/Motorized Faders?

Any MCU compatible one will work. The Mackie MCU works great, expensive nowdays but the Behringer Xtouch is a little cheaper, not as nicely laid out but much better than their old BCF2000 I would guess. If you don't want 8 faders and just a single one, an Alphatrack (if still available) or Faberbox ...

Re: X-Touch and Ableton 10 Channel select issue

The MCU (or compatible devices) will see all the channels in live via the page banks in groups of 8 without issue, you just need to manually page through them to the correct bank of 8 for the area you are in your mix. I have a Mackie MCU which functions the same way, I don't have extenders, but I wo...
