Yeah, my point is that a Lemur costs the same as a HP core 2 duo touch screen. Also, with the touch screens you click on the Live interface directly, not in the alien graphics of the Lemur. Live is not multitouch capable, so you'll be able to control one thing at a time only by using the HP touchsc...

Re: Discussing touchscreens? Why / why not?
And I know the Lemur allows u to design your own interface with only the elements u need, which I think is great, but not that great, not $HUGE greater than making do with a touchscreen. So I guess I'm wondering why more people aren't using a touch screen? GUI controls designed for the mouse don't ...

is there any, like ANY, possibility to send osc to a vst plugin within live? with max? or is it strictly impossible? Plugins built in Max or in any other programming languages can be made to receive and send OSC data. within the host?? ya shure? that'd be great news! so reaktor etc tambien? OSC com...

Plus you have to be a programmer. huh ? Nothing forces Lemur users to program über-geeky smart sequencers. Sometimes simpler interfaces are way more useful, and they're really not that hard to make. You can actually try the JazzEditor from their website, you'll see that it's far form rocket science...

I thought the price difference between the two was more like 300 bucks, no ? By the way, there's no way a multitouch panel of the actual DAW interface would be more practical. An interface made for using a mouse is just not fit at all for finger use, and vice versa. Hell, the transport buttons are 1...

I felt tempted to press those play buttons on the session grid with my Greasy fingers Since Day 1 ... quite masochistic, seeing how those are only 16*16 pixels. I'm convinced no interface can be fit for both mouse use AND finger use. If multitouch arrives at the OS level, an entirely reworked inter...

Yep, we have a basic set of OSC commands so far, but with a server that makes it easy to add your own commands. So for example /live/play, plays the song /live/play/clip (track#, clip#) will play a clip, and yes, you can get names of stuff out. Send a /live/name/track message, and it will send you ...
