Live 10/Push 2/Mac mini mid 2010

Hello all, I've been making music solely on the Novation circuit for the past few years as my Mac mini has been too painful to use, slow boot, beach ball etc. I was going to purchase a new Mac mini, but with the amount I use it, I can't really justify the cost. So I thought I'd upgrade the mini to s...

Re: Maschine Ableton template

Just to say I have a workaround for this now, well two actually, using either fire or the New clip button. I really think the Ableton temple deserves more praise. NI have been making much of the Ableton template for JAM but I'd say don't forget Maschine. Although the intergration thereafter for reco...

Re: Anybody using Focusrite audio interfaces?

I've recently bought a Pro 40 to replace my Profire 2626 and after an initial issue getting the drivers set up on 10.9.5 its been absolutely rock solid, highly, highly recommended and a big upgrade on my Profire 2626.

Maschine Ableton template

Hello all, I've not been using my Maschine at all for a while now and I've been tempted by push for quite some time. But after reading up on a few things I noticed the template to control Maschine was recently updated. So I thought I'd give it a shot as I'm really looking to downsize on all the cont...

Re: Rishi's Launchpad Presets

Looks interesting, are you going to upload the remote scripts somewhere so we can all have a play around with your hard work?

Re: The Maschine & Ableton Love Thread ;) [upon user request]

Right, I've caved in. I have been following new ones and 2nd hand ones on the bay for months and I've actually managed to win a brand new Maschine 1.5 for £410. I am a happy (and very worried that I've spent a ruck of money) man. Can't wait for a play. This was my Virus Ti fund as well! Good job I h...

Re: anyone using katapult?

I did really consider it but I have found that the standard settings for Ableton meets my current needs and I also use the Launchpad for Traktor and actually just configured what I want from scratch. Probably the single best thing in Traktor is the LED output via MIDI which means that the lights on ...

Re: what is the deal notebook PCs coming without firewire ports?

My Lenovo T61 is a Hackintosh and I use this at the moment mainly for DJing with Traktor and runs my interface in OSX with a lower and more stable latency than the same laptop running XP SP3, even with a partition that is entirely dedicated to audio. In my studio I also run XP and OSX on a PC (dual ...

Desktop Stand for Novation Launchpad

Hello, I am loving the launchpad but it's a slight pain in the butt when it's flat on my desk. Does anyone know or anybody have a stand that they use for one of these babies? I have had a google around and did find one guy who made a stand but I thought that this for one looks a bit crap and two I t...

Drum pad control (Maschine vs MPD vs SL pads)

Hello guys, So I've bought a Launchpad and I have been using it for what I thought I'd use it for (launching clips and generally helping my workflow) but I have also had quite a lot of surprising fun getting back into playing beats in via the pads. I have done this a little bit on the drum pads on m...

Re: How to achieve a Mouseless (almost anyway) Ableton workflow?

I think that I have pretty much sussed it now. There is a template on the user uploaded files section on the Novation site that has a script that has been created that uses Remote scripting & Automap in one template. For me this was too fussy but I have taken the idea so that the first 8 controllers...

How to achieve a Mouseless (almost anyway) Ableton workflow?

Hello to you all, I have been using my ableton set up for a number of years and have got along OK with my workflow with bits of Automap (I own a Novation SL37MKI) and the mouse. But I have very recently bought a Launchpad and have been using this alongside a Behringer BCD3000 with Traktor & I have n...

Wearing safety gear and particularly good gear is a real necessity now, especially in the UK when there is a massive amount of car drivers now who are so self obsessed in a rush to nowhere particular that they have no problem with nearly knocking bikers (me) off the road!
