but you should really COMPARE..
before you recommend one over the other...
seems to me you don't really know the differences ..

from my experience (owned 2 MOTU cards(2408 and 24i/o ON WINDOWS)...and 2 ...

Fast Track Ultra or Motu Ultralite? I have the money for the Motu Ultralite and I've heard it works fine with Win 7. I've heard a lot of bad reviews on the Fast Track Ultra though. Do guys think its worth buying over the Ultralite?

i am on mac and love it but i would bet the fast track ultra has better drivers on windoze than motu stuff easily.

the fast track ultra's are cheap on ebay.

no, i'm dead serious. many people complain about motu drivers on windoze.

i recently had to rebuild my setup (studio robbed) and had to choose a low cost usb2 soundcard for low latency.

i found the m-audio fast track ultra has been totally redesigned since avid bought m-audio.

its low latency usb2 in the same league as the rme fireface UC and the drivers seem to be well ...

max4live has been sold. live8 remains. accepting offers.

i built a silent rack mount unit with q6600 on a bad axe 2 and 8 gigs of ram.... it is more stable than my macbook. Feels about 10x more powerful. Low latency performance is amazing. This is the rig I have always dreamed of.

make a test file with 50 reverbs and upload it somewhere so we can test it on our rigs to be sure.

that hum-x looks intersting, but i'm not sure how useful it would be as the soundcard is causing the humming, and that's not plugged into the mains (it's powered by firewire from the mac). do you think it would be useful to plug the mac in to one of the hum-x things?

yes, you plug the computer ...

try the hum-x by ebtech. cleared up my hum even with a poorly shielded electric guitar! I tend to think the ground plug is there for a reason....

I can confirm that the latest drivers are excellent; on my new lappie, I can run the Live 5 performance test at 32 samples and CPU is around 30%. This is serious kick ass.

Checking the RME forum, it seems that RME have supplied duel with an early Mactel driver to test....

Fingers crossed, it won't be long in coming. The current price of $99 for the adapter is a steal if it means i can use my multiface with my MBP.

And to think, i nealry sold it....
