No a problem here...

I assume you're setting one of the channels to be listening to the Rewire outputs?
If you start Live, then start Reason, the Reason outs appear as input channels in the mixer. Pick the Reason L+R to hear the main outs.

It's also possible that this is disabled in the Demo version, since audio ...

PB500 > PB667

Say, for what it's worth, there ARE some documented memory bandwidth issues with the latest powerbooks (the 550 and 667) which make them a little less desirable for digital audio.

Live Remixes

I've been loving Live, and did a couple of remixes this weekend - I took a pair of old favorite songs from the 80s, looped the hell out of them, and added additional bits.

Wish: Dynamic pitching...

I was thinking that Live is sooo great for loops, but really has little for letting you compose your own melodies. If there was a way to combine Trigger Mode with a variable Pitch, you could easily whip up a bassline or string lead with just Wavs.

Sort of a "Pitched Trigger Mode?"

FireDrives

Actually, there are two 5400 rpm minidrives available - the IBM Travelstar 48 and 60 gb drives are fast and readily purchaseable.

For speed and price per gig, you're better off with a powered 7200, but for convenence, the firewire bus-powered 5400 48gig is pretty great.
