Ableton Forum

I find Logic really difficult to use since using Ableton. I just like being able to quickly lay down some midi on ableton with just a click. Whilst with logic I have to change tools and i swear the notes are never where i want them to be.

Make sure the track with the massive patch you want to play is armed.

Just a quick song I made, I was just trying to focus on my song structuring and just put 2 separate rap acapellas over it.

Thoughts?

It would be good to get your songs remixed too, listening to a different take of your songs would be cool, especially if they sound better!

I was gonna say! They really break down the genre to its basics.

Can I just ask why are you using bootcamp for Windows? Personally 'I'm a Mac' but why spend all that money on a Macbook Pro if your gonna run Windows on it? for the money you could get a really high end PC laptop.

In session view you can choose what channels to record I think (I'm not 100% cause i'm at work) change it to just 1 or 2 which ever one your using, not both and it will put everything right.

I recently bought a padKontrol and the pads are much better than the MPD's, although personally I think the MPD has better build quality. Also roll and flam options are useful and I've started using them more, If you have money get APC40.

I tried the groups method last night and it did work for what I was asking, but I agree the sends option is probably a better way of doing it. I just wanted this because when I triggered a new song on my APC it would then set the control nobs to control that tracks effects, which made it confusing w...

If I group tracks will I still be able to set them to 'A' and 'B' and use crossfader?

(I'm at work at the moment so can't check, even though I'm sure it does work)

Hey, I'm new so go easy on me. I have recently starting using Ableton for DJing and love it! Especially with my Akai APC 40 making it so easy to control effects. My question is though... Is there a way to have one Audio effects rack linked to 2 tracks? I know I can put the same effects in both track...
