Re: OSC Midi Send from Ableton to Processing.org - erratic behaviour with events from multiple notes

Thanks, I've never made a Max device so hadn't thought of trying to do this myself. I assumed the connection packs would already take care of this in the optimal way so thought I was missing something. Will give creating my own Max device a go, but expect it will just unleash another stream of quest...

OSC Midi Send from Ableton to Processing.org - erratic behaviour with events from multiple notes

Hi, I've been using the OSC Midi Send device from the Connection Kit pack to send midi messages from Ableton, so that I can control sketches and graphics in Processing.org By and large this is working well, and allowing me to play and sequence visuals using clips in Live. BUT, I have a lot of sporad...

Re: Need help: NI Audio 8 DJ cpu spikes and audio dropouts

I'm getting a similar problem - with NI traktor audio 10 plugged into my laptop running ableton I get regular cpu spikes every few seconds, causing the screen to freeze. When ableton is running by itself (with the internal soundcard) everything is fine, and when ableton isn't running, but I'm using ...

Re: Filter MIDI notes

Brilliant. I've learned a lot from playing around with your suggestions I didn't realise Pitch could act as a filter, although I couldn't figure out how to have multiple filters at the same time, so I settled on using the key range on midi chains - exactly what I wanted. thanks again for taking the ...

Filter MIDI notes

Hi, I'm looking for a way to filter out midi notes so that I can use a single midi drum clip (with impulse) and then using my controller cut various sounds (e.g. cymbals, hi-hat, or kicks) The obvious way to do this would be to mute individual sounds in impulse, but a) I can't seem to map to mute, a...

Well, there is the features request forum, so you could stick a thread on there.
erm, this is the Feature Wishlist forum - is there a different place I should be posting this?

Re: Previewing unwarped samples

honestly. it's so stupid and annoying that we cant do this. when previewing and going through foley, or perhaps your own custom field recording, library you will want to hear how it sounds without any artifacts at all, in the same pace it was recorded. Exactly. Such a simple feature but would be re...

Re: will you upgrade?

Really disappointed about Live 9 - no improvements to the UI, but at least some improvements for the sound engine. Can't see what all the fuss about Push is about - who wants to pay £500 for another controller, when the software only does the same thing (ok, we've finally got curves - great). And wh...

Re: Previewing unwarped samples

Thanks for both the suggestions, but neither solves my problem. As I said, I often use unwarped samples (e.g. some spoken word, or a jingle) or a track with no beats at the start/end to change between bpms (e.g. a transition from 120bpm to 140bpm). I therefore want to be able to preview the unwarped...

Viewing multiple waveforms & fx racks

I know this has been requested a million times before, but is there any word from Ableton on when/if they are ever going to make the user interface more configurable, or provide a different view? Not being able to see multiple waveforms at the same time, or be able to view the fx faders at the same ...

Previewing unwarped samples

When you have an unwarped sample, it isn't possible to click on the waveform to jump to different sections of it to listen to it (as you can with warped ones).

I often use unwarped samples to cover bpm transitions, and not being able to easily preview them is annoying.
