One nice thing is, if you use Max 6.1 (high-res-enabled Max), the max for live devices are all in high-resTarekith wrote:Unfortunately all the text stays pixelated, which is the most annoying thing for most of us. Still, it's a start, thanks!

Make Live Retina-Ready (since Ableton won't)
Open up Live 9's package contents. (right click on app) Do "Show package contents" on the Live.app. Edit Contents/Info.plist using your favorite text editor. Just above </dict> </plist> Place this: <key>NSHighResolutionCapable</key> <true/> Then, make a copy of the app so that OSX will not...

Re: High-resolution support!
What do you mean by scale exactly? I can adjust the Zoom Display in Live by going to Preferences > Look Feel > Zoom Display. It's an awesome feature. Scale's a bad word on my part, I mean pixel density. They simply need to account for a doubling of pixel density so that on higher resolution display...

Re: BPM for compound meters/BPM for specific note value
press Cmd + 3 and you'll have your grid in ternary mode Unfortunately this only makes creating triplets possible, the BPM still only beats for divisions of 2. What I'd like is for the BPM to be able to act in compound time. In performed music, you have two types of tempo representation (and divisio...

BPM for compound meters/BPM for specific note value
I would love to be able to specific a tempo with a dotted quarter so I can do 60bpm at:
^........^
1 and a 2 and a
60 times per minute instead of
^......^
1 and 2 and
60 times per minute
As it is now, the tempo number only references division of 2, or binary meters.

Re: High-resolution support!
As someone with a degree in computer science, I can assure you it's not so difficult. And as for why? Because it is appropriate. Ableton is a brand, and they have a graphics and advertising department focused on being relevant and current. When they are partnered with cycling '74 and fall behind the...

High-resolution support!
Just wondering why Max 6.1 looks beautiful on my new laptop, but Ableton won't scale and looks pretty hairy.
It's already vector-based, so it shouldn't be too difficult.

Re: Live 9 retina support?
i Hope retina-support will come for the final version ... can't understand why they wouldn't support as the graphics already vectorbased Apple sucks anyway, better bring touch support for WIN 8. You know something actually usefull. It's very important that we have people who can't see the forest fo...

Uniform scrolling directions|copy and paste time for 1 track
Since I can't find any help in the general forums, I'm assuming these are issues that don't have solutions yet: 1. When I duplicate, I'd like to shift the material beyond my duplication forward so that it doesn't get cut off in place of the new duplication. When I shift-command-d, it duplicates the ...

Duplicate time for one track only
When I duplicate, I'd like to shift the material beyond my duplication forward so that it doesn't get cut off in place of the new duplication.
When I shift-command-d, it duplicates the time for all tracks, but I'm only interested in manipulating one track.
What am I missing?

Clip and arrangement scroll directions are reversed. Why?
I use mouse zoom to zoom into particular regions, but for the clip view I have to move my mouse to the right to move the window left, and for arrangement, I move right to move the window right.
How do I fix this? This type of implementation doesn't seem to make any sense.

Quantize launch to end of clip loop?
Anyone know how to do this? My clips loop at a length that is not a metric/beat division, so quantizing by beat screws everything up.
Can I cue my next clip to launch after the loop finishes playing?
