Prob a stupid question but will Live 6 on a MAC play wav files?

I have a pc with Live 6 but am thinking about getting a Macbook Pro to play out with and I hear the Xone 3d runs alot better on a Mac.

I think there is a setting in your Preferences that allows you to select the DEFAULT clip mode when dragging/inserting new clips into the Session and/or Arrangement view.

I'm having problems setting the mic up in Live 5. I followed MrSleeps directions but am not getting anywhere. When I try to 'ENABLE' the mic, I get the 'Defies Logic' and it doesn't show the MIC as 'Running' ...

Can anyone help?
