Can Ableton do this? - Chop sample, fade out
Hey, I saw this against the clock with Rival Console yesterday, and saw a very creative way to get texture into songs. Basically he imports a field-recording or something similar, chops it up, selects all the different chops, and selects "Fade out" in Cubase. All the different parts of the...

Re: Ableton and multiple audio devices
Hi Pitch Black, thanks for your reply I will try that tomorrow, good idea to test with a more simple setup One question though; in Ableton preferences, do you get to choose which output that go to your MBP output and which goes to the RME? As Fireface 800 has a lot of output types, i get 28 outputs ...

Re: Ableton and multiple audio devices
Hi again,
I dont know if you read my post, but i have done that already. The issue is that i both interfaces has outputs 1-8, and if i choose any of them it outputs on the coresponding channel on both devices. I need to tell ableton which output belongs to which device

Re: Midi mapping - One knob, two effects
My personal advice would be to give up and buy a different controller, one thats supported by Ableton, don't mean to be negative but that sort of functionality comes as standard with things like the APC40, LaunchControl XL etc. Cheers D Yeah maybe you are right. But at the same time i have the push...

Re: Midi mapping - One knob, two effects
Third, I would ask the wisdom of doing that though. I mean the purpose of knobs as opposed to endless encoders is that you always have the range of one important parameter in view, without any doubt or second guessing. After you switched the layer that benefit would obviously not apply anymore, sin...

Midi mapping - One knob, two effects
Hey, i just got a midi controller, Allan & heath Xone K2, and i in the process of mapping it. Ideally i would like one of the knobs to controll two different parameters, but not at the same time. On the K2 each knob has a button next to it, and i was thinking that i could map it so that the knob...

Hi there.. I have been experimenting with this, but it doest do exactly what i want. I have set Maschine to retrigg, so now it always start from beatnote 1. Thats a improvement.
