Re: Ableton Skipping and Creating a Major Delay
you are not alone. this is a real problem between ableton and newer (post 2013) macbook pros, and one that (thus far) no one i've talked to at ableton has been able to solve or even give me the cause of.

Re: OS X Yosemite audio dropouts
I am having this exact same problem as well with this exact same machine. I've had it with two different motu 828s and a focusrite saffire pro 40. i really don't think it's a cpu issue. this terminal work and notifications center stuff seem like really nit picky quasi-solutions to what seems to me t...

Re: new MBP, audio glitches related to display/graphics...
YES. exact same problem here on the exact same mbp/osx. tried multiple interfaces and can't find a solution. is it just an incompatibility between the new mbps and live 9? I can't even get the buffer below 256 samples without it getting much much worse. any help here would be IMMENSELY appreciated. ...

Re: Live 9 latency comparison to other DAWs
... also should note that I had the same problem using both a motu 828 mkIII hybrid and a focusrite saffire pro 40. (was trying to eliminate the soundcard as the problem) any help here or notice of ableton changing anything would be very helpful!! i'd love to use the extra horsepower of the new lapt...

Re: Live 9 latency comparison to other DAWs
same exact issue here. running live 9 on a brand new quad core MBP. I get crackles starting at around 17% if the buffer is set to 128 samples. switch to 256 and i'm good to go, but it ruins a lot of my live vocal processing. i've found a bunch of workarounds, but it seems absurd that this hasn't bee...

Re: Is there a device that writes automation
me too. just upgraded to 9, and the m4l midi generators were a selling point. can't believe you aren't able to record the data.

YES. Can't believe this isn't a possibility! Seriously limits the potential of these things. Envelope Follower too!
Pretty please.

Record Envelope Follower's MIDI data? Help!
I'm trying to record the MIDI data / automation curves generated from the standard M4L devices (Envelope Follower, LFO, Envelope), but I can't seem to figure out how. When you map the data to a parameter, it gets greyed out in the automation lane, which makes it impossible. The data is being generat...

APC40 pedals + looper problem
I'm having trouble with looper and some footswitches hooked up to my APC40. they enable recording just fine, but then only stay in "overdub" mode for a few seconds before switching back to "play". I've seen this posted about before, but the general consensus was "use a midi ...
